  • Publication number: 20230074300
Abstract: An IPsec tunnel request for establishing an IPsec tunnel from a customer router to an anycast IP address of a distributed cloud computing network is received. The same anycast IP address is shared among compute servers of the distributed cloud computing network. A handshake is performed with the customer router from a first compute server including generating security associations for encrypting and decrypting IPsec traffic. The security associations are propagated to each compute server and are used for encrypting and decrypting traffic.

  • Publication number: 20220303244
Abstract: A unified network service that connects multiple disparate private networks and end user client devices operating on separate networks is described. The multiple disparate private networks and end user client devices connect to a distributed cloud computing network that provides routing services, security services, and performance services, and that can be controlled consistently regardless of the connection type. The unified network service provides uniform access control at the L3 layer (e.g., at the IP layer) or at a higher layer using user identity information (e.g., a zero-trust model). The disparate private networks are run on top of the distributed cloud computing network. The virtual routing layer of the distributed cloud computing network allows customers of the service to have private resources visible only to client devices (e.g.

  • Publication number: 20210378684
Abstract: A surgical handpiece system capable of determining a suitable screw length for bone fixation with a bone plate that compensates an initial screw length value based on orientation of the surgical handpiece system during a drilling process. The surgical handpiece system comprising a surgical handpiece including a depth measurement extension and a sensor. The depth measurement extension may be configured to determine a thickness of bone when a drill bit is attached and used to drill through the bone. The sensor may be configured to generate an orientation signal responsive to orientation of the depth measurement extension. The surgical handpiece system also comprises a processor in communication with the sensor and configured to determine the suitable screw length for bone fixation based the sensor.

  • Patent number: 10344984
Abstract: A gas burner safety system comprises dual sensor arrays, the first array positioned proximal to the gas burner and the second array positioned proximal to a control used to turn on and off and regulate the flame of the gas burner. The first array senses the flame components such that a flame signature is obtained when no object is placed on or above the flame and a flame image is obtained when an object is proximal to the flame. By comparing the flame signature and the flame image, a central control unit operatively connected to the sensor arrays can determine the presence or absence of an object proximal to the flame. The second sensor array is positioned to detect a human hand proximal to the control. In operation, if the flame image matches the flame signature and a human hand is not detected proximal to the control, the central control unit turns off the gas burner by causing the closure of a valve in the gas supply line to the gas burner.

  • Patent number: 10272939
Abstract: This invention provides a system which integrates motor vehicle component operation into actuators located in the rim of a vehicle steering wheel. The two system actuators are located in the steering wheel at the three o'clock and 12 o'clock positions for the right-hand actuator and the nine o'clock and 12 o'clock positions for the left-hand actuator. The actuators may operate in parallel with a conventional stalk switch or controls associated with an onboard computer and only operate a vehicle component when activated and subsequently depressed. The invention further provides for vehicle component operation which does not require a driver to remove his or her hands from the steering wheel. Furthermore, the system and apparatus of the invention when integrated with steering wheel and vehicle position detection systems provides a means to disengage an activated turn signal depending on the position of the steering wheel and/or the vehicle.
