Patent number: 12280615Abstract: Methods and apparatus for attaching a center cap a wheel of a motor vehicle. A specialized lug nut may replace existing lug nuts to provide a threaded receiving area for a screw. The screw may be used to secure a cap in place. Some embodiments include an adapter to match a lug bolt pattern to a cap diameter size. In preferred embodiments, a lug nut is provided of specific designs, size and shape to be installable to act as a mechanism to secure a wheel to a vehicle and also act as a holder for the screw to retain the cap. The center cap may then slide onto the lug nuts (or extension that attach to the lug nuts) and then stay on by tightening a screw through the top of one or more lug nuts on each wheel.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2021Date of Patent: April 22, 2025Inventors: Adam Stevens, Keith Ramthun

Publication number: 20250108451Abstract: A scalable method for the manufacture of iron and steel. The method includes hydrogen plasma arc additive manufacturing of near net shape steel and iron parts. More specifically, the method includes the hydrogen plasma reduction of iron ore concentrates using a plasma arc welding (PAW) torch and hydrogen and argon shielding gases. The plasma arc generated by the PAW torch and the hydrogen and argon shielding gases strip electrons from the feedstock, for example a ribbon comprising fine iron ore concentrates, as part of an additive build, thereby avoiding the need for post-processing operations such as casting, rolling, and forging operations.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2024Publication date: April 3, 2025Inventors: Rangasayee Kannan, Peeyush Nandwana, Andrzej Nycz, Adam Stevens, Sudarsanam Suresh Babu

Publication number: 20250047918Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing subscriptions. A media guidance application obtaining viewing patterns of a subscriber and determining a first and second media package of interest to the subscriber. A first and second release schedule are obtained related to media content in the first and second media packages. The media guidance application predicts a first viewing impact of the first subscription and a second viewing impact of the second subscription, for the upcoming time period, wherein the viewing impact indicates a total predicted amount of time spent viewing the media packages in the upcoming time period. An available amount of time for viewing media in the upcoming time period is also determined. The media guidance application generates a subscription recommendation for the upcoming time period based on the first viewing impact, second viewing impact, and available amount of time for viewing media in the upcoming time period.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 23, 2024Publication date: February 6, 2025Inventors: Adam Bates, Hafiza Jameela, Jesse F. Patent number: 11495240Abstract: A device-management system performs processing, such as audio processing, in an instance of a virtual machine corresponding to a functionally limited (local) device. To register the local device, the device-management system receives a registration request that includes device information, encryption data, and an indication of an associated user account. The device-management system then sends this registration data to a service-provider system, which returns a shared encryption key. The device-management system and the local device may use this shared encryption key to securely communicate. The device-management system may de-allocate the instance upon detecting a period of inactivity of the local device and may re-allocate the instance when new activity is detected. The device-management system may further determine when and if audio data to be sent to the local device is encoded using a codec not implemented by the local device.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2019Date of Patent: November 8, 2022Inventors: Sebastian Pierce-Durance, Kenneth Edward Cecka, Adam Stevens, Sanjay Devireddy, Po-Chen Paul Yang, Naveen Kumar Devaraj, Federico Dan Rozenberg, Pete Baldridge, Rajiv Jain, Pranov Rai, Todd Greenwalt, Yusuf Goren

Patent number: 10410126Abstract: A process for recommending choices to a user uses a first model representing the user's subconscious and a second model representing the user's consciousness. The process comprises receiving data and performing, using the second model, a simulation by modeling the user and a third party to derive a simulation result that determines how the user would react to a situation based at least in part on the received data. Using the first model and the simulation, a first set of recommendation choices based at least in part on the received data is derived, and a set of recommendation choices for presentation based on the first set of recommendation choices is determined and presented to the user. As the user is making a selection, the user is monitored for conscious decisions and subconscious reactions, which are used to update the first model and the second model.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 2017Date of Patent: September 10, 2019Assignee: QUALE LLCInventors: Steven Keith Rogers, Adam Steven Rogers

Publication number: 20180025379Abstract: An online system determines a predicted performance of presenting a content item based on factors including a context in which the content item is to be presented. The context in which the content item is to be presented identifies other content presented in conjunction with the content item, content presented prior to presenting the content item, or actions performed prior to, after, or during presentation of the content item. Based on prior actions by users presented with content items in different contexts, the online system determines a quality score for each context. Using the quality score for the context in which the content item is to be presented and other factors, the online system determines the predicted performance of presenting the content item. The online system may modify determination of the predicted performance as the online system receives information describing results of presenting the content item.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 21, 2016Publication date: January 25, 2018Inventors: Philip Adam Hewinson, Adam Stevens, Ben Parsons, Anala Joelle Prabhu, Maya Cahier, Sebastian Michael Anthony Totte
