  • Publication number: 20250073887
Abstract: A tool is specifically structured for securing a beam clamp to a bar joist for the purpose of securing a support rod to the bar joist for hanging pipe. The tool includes a top piece, a bottom piece and an extension member between the top and bottom pieces to adjust the overall length of the tool. A socket drive on the top of the tool allows for releasable attachment of a socket of the type used in a socket wrench assembly. The bottom of the tool includes a square opening for receiving a ratchet or impact gun for the purpose of rotating the tool and attached socket, thereby tightening the loosening the fastening hardware of the beam clamp.

  • Publication number: 20240335692
Abstract: A tool for tightening and/or loosening a drop pipe in a fire sprinkler system includes a main shaft with a threaded fitting on a distal end for attachment to a reducer coupling on the bottom end of the drop pipe, and a sleeve that partially surrounds the main shaft and is slidably movable relative to the main shaft with a socket fitted to the end of the sleeve for engaging a hex shaped surface on the reducer coupling. A multi-sided flat faced surface on the end of the sleeve allows for removable attachment of the socket thereto in a manner that prevents unwanted rotation of the socket relative to the sleeve when applying torque to the drop pipe. A torque handle extension member removably attaches to a rear end of the sleeve and extends perpendicularly therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20240266837
Abstract: Advanced Distribution Management Systems not generally optimize over the entire feeder because there are few high-fidelity distribution circuit models and real-time distribution-connected sensors are rare. The limited observability at the distribution level makes it difficult to globally optimize distribution operations and issue control setpoints to power systems equipment or Distributed Energy Resources (DER) to perform grid-support services. For example, setpoints can be issued to DER based on results from an optimization module that incorporates a static or time-series feeder simulation. Feeder simulation initial conditions are populated with photovoltaic (PV) and load forecasts, state estimation results, and/or digital twin measurements or state output. The real-time (RT) digital twin runs a model of the feeder to generate state estimation pseudo-measurements since there are limited live feeder measurements.

  • Publication number: 20120303635
Abstract: A system and method for computing and transforming (1) a rating and (2) an indicator of the quality of the rating into (3) a new visual indicator which may be stored or output. A rating, also known as a score, can be the result of a survey or come from any other source. An indicator representing the quality of a rating can include a series of different colors, individual icons, a series of multiple icons, or written text. A new visual indicator is created from the combination of the rating and quality indicator. The system can analyze available data or accept human input and create an indicator of the quality of each rating or adjusted rating. The invention can create a new visual indicator by combining supplied or computed ratings and their computed quality indicators. The visual indicator may be stored as data elements or output on any capable device.

  • Publication number: 20100042422
Abstract: A system and method for computing and outputting a score or rating with an associated visual quality indicator. The score or rating can be the result of a survey or come from any other source. The visual indicator representing the quality of the score or rating can include a series of different colors, icons or a series of multiple icons. The quality can also be displayed as written text. Ratings may be supplied that have been processed by others (for example those who took a particular survey), or they may be supplied as raw data. The invention can output the score or rating and its associated indicator as to the quality of the score or rating either integral to the score or rating or near the score or rating. When raw data is supplied, the present invention can reduce that data using any type of mathematical or statistical technique, and then output the reduced rating values along with associated qualities on a display device or printed material.
