  • Publication number: 20220279891
Abstract: A system for motion-based media creation includes an article of footwear or apparel having at least one accelerometer or inertial measurement unit operative to monitor spatial motion of at least a portion of the article of footwear or apparel and generate a data stream indicative of the monitored spatial motion. The system further includes a processor in networked wireless communication with the article of footwear or apparel. The processor is configured to receive the data stream from the article of footwear or apparel; identify at least one motion primitive from the received data stream; and trigger the playback of an audio sample or a visual effect in response to the identified at least one motion primitive.

  • Publication number: 20220279890
Abstract: A system for dynamic movement scoring comprising an article of footwear or apparel and a processor in networked wireless communication with the article of footwear or apparel. The article includes at least one accelerometer or inertial measurement unit operative to monitor spatial motion of at least a portion of the article of footwear or apparel, and to generate a data stream indicative of the monitored spatial motion. The processor is configured to receive the data stream from the article of footwear or apparel, identify at least one motion primitive from the received data stream; and determine an accuracy metric representing a correspondence between the monitored spatial motion of the article of footwear or apparel and the ordered number of motion primitives.

  • Publication number: 20210280082
Abstract: Athletic activity may be tracked while providing encouragement to perform athletic activity. For example, a user's route may be captured during a workout and used to assemble a media presentation corresponding to the workout. Prior captured images may be assembled forming a hyperlapse video and included in a media presentation corresponding to a user's workout. Images representing locations along a workout route may be assembled and provided in the media presentation and may be shared with other users.

  • Patent number: 10740501
Abstract: Systems and methods for designing and customizing tangible products are disclosed. Examples may include apparel, such as footwear, shirts, or sporting goods, athletic equipment and/or electronic devices, including but not limited to activity monitoring devices or media devices. Aspects relate to customizing products based on visual and tactile properties of the materials to be utilized in the design and construction of the product. Both the visual and tactile property selections may be displayed to the consumer to on an exemplary graphical representation of the product. Embodiments allow a user to select and review both visual and tactile properties of the product, thus the consumer is able to visualize and touch the materials of a customized product.
