  • Publication number: 20240080352
Abstract: A server operates between a customer and a subscriber to store data associated with the customer and data comprising media content associated with the subscriber. The server is configured to receive from the customer a request for content associated with products or services provided by the subscriber. The request is triggered by scanning a code by a user device operated by the customer. The request causes the server to retrieve customer information from data storage operated by the server. Based on the retrieved customer information and the request for content from the customer, the server retrieves personalized data associated with the subscriber. The personalized data comprises the media content associated with the subscriber that is tailored based on customer preferences stored in the server.

  • Patent number: 11765216
Abstract: A server operates between a patron (user), a subscriber (e.g., owner of a venue of exhibits and its website; museum, stadium, zoo, theme park, etc.), and possibly third parties such as a content distribution network (CDN). Access and content delivery are based on 1) control information provided to a patron device by physical objects at the venue and sent by the patron device to the server as part of a mutual authentication to one another, 2) user-specific information corresponding to the patron device, and 3) a pre-authorization exchange granting user-device access to physical objects and the server with the server receiving access to the user-specific information in order to locate requested information and select a subset thereof adapted in accordance with the user information. Moving physically between exhibits, a patron device rapidly disengages and re-engages the server, based thereon, without repeated logins.

  • Patent number: 10703523
Abstract: An improved container transportation and filling system and method is provided. The system can deliver cartridges and other containers, such as tubes, in a horizontal orientation. The containers can have a closed bottom end and an open top end. A screw conveyor(s) is used to engage the containers and urge them forward and into rotation around the axis of the screw conveyor, from horizontal to vertical. A guide engages an end of the containers. The guide acts as a camming surface and guides the end of the container downward as it is advanced by the screw conveyor, to orient the container vertically for filling, capping and sealing. A second mirror image downstream screw conveyor and guide can reorient the container from vertical to horizontal.

  • Patent number: 8857303
Abstract: A power saw includes a table configured to receive a workpiece, a saw blade and motor assembly, and a linear guide mechanism operatively connected to the table and being configured to pivotally support the saw blade and motor assembly. The linear guide mechanism enables movement of the saw blade and motor assembly along a predetermined linear path in a forward or a rearward direction at a constant level, and includes a first link and a second link pivotally connected by a first hinge connection. The first and second links enable the linear guide mechanism to maintain the saw blade and motor assembly at the constant level. The power saw further includes a locking mechanism which is fixed to the first hinge connection for locking the linear guide mechanism to prevent the saw blade and motor assembly from being moved along the predetermined linear path.

  • Patent number: 8752461
Abstract: A hinge connection between first and second links, including a shaft; a threaded aperture formed within an end portion of the shaft; and a pair of bearings. The hinge connection may optionally include a spacer surrounding the shaft. In addition, there is also a bushing surrounding the end portion of the shaft. A threaded fastening member is inserted into the threaded aperture of the shaft. Upon insertion and tightening of the threaded fastening member, any axial gap between the first bearing and the bushing is eliminated. Also disclosed is a hinge connection with a split shaft, including two cantilever shafts, where a main axial portion of each cantilever shaft is seated within a bore of the first link; and a pair of bearings, where an inner portion of each of the cantilever shafts is rotatably seated within one of the bearings.

  • Patent number: 8313094
Abstract: A detent system that includes a plurality of detent recesses formed in a first component, a detent pin that selectively engages at least one of the detent recesses, a linkage connected to the detent pin, and a detent button that is associated with a second component. There is preferably a slot formed in at least one of the detent button and the detent pin, where each slot slidably receives an end portion of the linkage. The detent system is preferably configured and arranged such that applying a force to the detent button to move the detent button in a first direction causes the linkage to move in a second direction, which is different than the first direction, thereby resulting in disengagement between an engaging portion of the detent pin and a relevant one, or more, of the detent recesses. Such disengagement allows for relative movement between the two components.
