  • Publication number: 20240266711
Abstract: A bracket for mounting an antenna to an antenna alignment device may comprise a base bracket and an extension bracket. The extension bracket may comprise a retention clip that may be inserted into a slot in the base bracket. Particularly, the extension bracket with the antenna alignment device may be lifted up with one hand such that the retention clip can be inserted into the slot. The forward weight of the antenna alignment device may pull down the extension bracket to allow the retention clip and the slot to form a retention mechanism. To disengage the retention mechanism, the extension bracket can be pushed forward, then lifted up. Therefore, the combination of the base bracket and the extension bracket may provide a convenient, one-hand installation of an antenna alignment device at different positions at a distance with respect to an external surface of the antenna.

  • Publication number: 20240154292
Abstract: In an example mounting bracket for an antenna alignment device, a bracket component that abuts an antenna is provided. The bracket component has a relatively large surface area for a wider distribution of the applied clamping force, thereby minimizing high-pressure regions. Generally, the bracket component is made of a first piece and a second piece. The first piece is made of soft material such as e.g., rubber that abuts and grips an exterior surface of the antenna, thereby minimizing the slippage problem when the antenna surface is wet and or mossy. The second piece is made of rigid material such as metal or a metal alloy (e.g., an aluminum alloy) to maintain the structural integrity of the bracket component.

  • Patent number: 11862839
Abstract: An example mount may include a strap (or any other type of clamping mechanism) engaging with an external surface of an antenna. The strap may be connected to a strap base with a canted wall also engaging with the external surface of the antenna. The engagement of the canted wall may be through an abutment of the canted wall against the corresponding external surface of the antenna at a single point or along a single line. Because the entirety of the canted wall does not have to be flush with the corresponding external surface of the antenna, the mount can couple to any kind of antenna form factor, such as curved antennas and antennas with imperfections and protrusions.

  • Publication number: 20230327316
Abstract: A global navigation satellite system (GNSS) antenna alignment device may have two movably attached arms to a main housing of the antenna alignment device. Each arm may have a GNSS antenna mounted thereon. The baseline between the GNSS antennas is therefore tri-segmented, with a first arm forming a first segment, a second arm forming a second segment, and the main housing forming a third segment. The length and orientation of the baseline may be adjusted by moving one or more of the first arm and the second arm. Furthermore, the first arm and the second arm may be stowed for a convenient storage and transport.

  • Patent number: 10554866
Abstract: Methods for locating noise in a CATV system are disclosed. The methods may use a probe or instrument configured to be coupled to a port of the CATV system. The probe may be operable to selectively filter signals in the CATV system to suppress the frequencies at which noise may be present in the CATV system. In some embodiments, the methods may also use a signal level meter, and the probe may be configured to be coupled to the signal level meter to detect and locate noise in the CATV system.

  • Patent number: 10250781
Abstract: An instrument for locating noise in a CATV system is disclosed. The instrument comprises an electrical circuit assembly moveable within an outer body. The electrical circuit assembly includes a filter configured to suppress noise frequencies in the CATV system. The instrument also includes a mechanical biasing element coupled to the electrical circuit assembly to bias the electrical circuit assembly in a position relative to the outer body.
