  • Publication number: 20240104377
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to the field of Electroencephalogram (EEG) classification, and, more particularly, to method and system for EEG motor imagery classification. Existing deep learning works employ the sensor-space for EEG graph representations wherein the channels of the EEG are considered as nodes and connection between the nodes are either predefined or are based on certain heuristics. However, these representations are ineffective and fail to accurately capture the underlying brain's functional networks. Embodiments of present disclosure provide a method of training a weighted adjacency matrix and a Graph Neural Network (GNN) to accurately represent the EEG signals. The method also trains a graph, a node, and an edge classifier to perform graph classification (i.e. motor imagery classification), node and edge classification. Thus, representations generated by the GNN can be additionally used for node and edge classification unlike state of the art methods.

  • Patent number: 10257813
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure enable a plurality of mobile devices (UEs) within a cell to spread out in time their respective transmissions of signaling messages, such as cell update messages, when the network enables or disables enhanced uplink (EUL, sometimes referred to as high-speed uplink packet access or HSUPA) while the UE is in the CELL_FACH state, by changing SIB5 or SIB5bis. In this way, the network load may be reduced, and a network blockage that otherwise might result from large numbers of UEs simultaneously transmitting the cell update message can be avoided. According to one example, a network node may be configured to distribute CELL_UPDATE messages or procedures to UEs when the network node enables or disables EUL in CELL_FACH by changing SIB5 or SIB5bis over time to reduce the network load. According to another example, a UE may be configured for utilizing a random timer or back-off timer to defer cell updates.

  • Publication number: 20180336562
Abstract: A novel solution to the vexing problem of how to secure a cashless transaction card and card account from unauthorized use. By adding enhanced security to a cashless transaction card, the present invention significantly reduces, and may in fact eliminate, unauthorized use of a cashless transaction card and card account. In accordance with embodiments of the present invention, a cashless transaction card and card account are linked with an authentication device that must be in proximity with the cashless transaction card when that card is being used for a cashless transaction. In this way, the present invention makes unauthorized use of the card significantly less likely. The authentication device is chosen by the owner and linked thereby with the cashless transaction card and card account. Only when the authentication device is in proximity with the cashless transaction card will a cashless transaction be authorized.

  • Patent number: 9942805
Abstract: The disclosure provides for a UE handling messages in wireless communication. The disclosure provides for a UE partially exchanging a first signaling-related message associated with a first UE configuration with a network entity and triggering a state transition message that initiates a change to a second UE configuration different from the first UE configuration. In an aspect, the UE determines that the first message has not been successfully received or successfully transmitted. In an aspect, the UE sends an indication message to coordinate discarding of the first message with the network entity and receives, after sending the indication message, a second signaling-related message associated with the second UE configuration. In another aspect, the UE, after partially sending a signaling-related message, receives a reconfiguration request associated with a second UE configuration. In an aspect, the UE determines that the message has not been successfully transmitted and causes a reconfiguration failure.

  • Publication number: 20160212622
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide for a method of efficiently implementing security configurations for multiple domains between a network entity and a UE in a wireless system. For instance, this disclosure provides for a network entity sending to a UE a first security mode command for a first domain, receiving a first security mode complete message in response to the first security mode command, and sending a second security mode command for a second domain. In an aspect, the second security mode command is sent in response to receiving the first security mode complete message. In an aspect, the UE does not receive a RLC acknowledgement. In another aspect, the UE saves the second security mode command until it receives the RLC acknowledgement. In an aspect, the network entity sends the second security mode command in response to receiving a message protected with first security procedure parameters.

  • Publication number: 20150365856
Abstract: The present disclosure presents a method and an apparatus for managing radio resource control (RRC) state transitions at a user equipment (UE). For example, the method may include transmitting a reconfiguration complete message to a network entity, starting a reselection delay timer simultaneously with the transmitting of the reconfiguration complete message, identifying initiation of a cell reselection procedure at the UE, delaying the cell reselection procedure at the UE until the UE receives a layer 2 acknowledgement (L2 ACK) message from the network entity, stopping the reselection delay timer in response to receiving the L2 ACK message, and transitioning the UE to a cell_paging channel (cell_PCH) state from a cell_forward access channel (cell_FACH) state after the stopping of the reselection delay timer. As such, managing RRC state transitions at a UE may be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20150119038
Abstract: The present disclosure presents a method and an apparatus for cell reselection during a SRNS relocation at a UE. For example, the disclosure presents a method for stopping signaling radio bearers (SRBs) sending a response message for the first Cell Update Confirm or the URA Update Confirm message and waiting for a layer two acknowledgement (L2 ACK) message from the network entity, triggering a second Cell Update or a URA Update procedure in a newly selected serving cell of the UE when waiting for the L2 ACK message from the network entity and waiting for the second Cell Update Confirm or the URA Update Confirm message, and performing a corrective action at the UE after the triggering of the second Cell Update or the URA Update procedure when the UE is waiting for the L2 ACK message from the network entity. As such, a cell reselection during a serving radio network subsystem (SRNS) relocation at a UE may be achieved.
