Abstract: A connectivity module of a vehicle includes Bluetooth and ultra-wideband radios. A processor operatively connected to the Bluetooth radio and the ultra-wideband radio operates the connectivity module in an anchor mode or a tag mode based at least in part upon a proximity of the vehicle to a movable barrier operator. When in the anchor mode the connectivity module is configured to initiate communication between a user device and both the Bluetooth radio and the ultra-wideband radio. When in the tag mode, the connectivity module is configured to respond to the movable barrier operator initiating communication between the movable barrier operator and both the Bluetooth radio and the ultra-wideband radio.

Abstract: In one aspect, a method is provided of effecting secure communications for a movable barrier operator and a trainable transmitter. The method includes, at the movable barrier operator, transmitting to a remote control a first radio frequency communication via a first communication protocol wherein the first radio frequency communication includes an access code. The method further includes receiving from the trainable transmitter a second radio frequency communication via a second communication protocol. The second radio frequency communication includes a derived access code based at least in part upon the access code. The method further includes learning the trainable transmitter in response to the derived access code corresponding to the access code.

Abstract: A movable barrier operator system is provided. The system includes a control circuit, an electric motor; and communication circuitry. The control circuit is configured to control operation of the electric motor based on a control signal received by the communication circuitry.

Abstract: In one respect, a method of controlling a movable barrier operator including receiving, via communication circuitry of an in-vehicle device, a wireless signal indicating communication of a state change request to the movable barrier operator, the state change request configured to cause the movable barrier operator to move a movable barrier from a first state toward a second state; presenting, via a user interface of the in-vehicle device, a notification of the communication of the state change request and an option to cancel the state change request; receiving, via the user interface of the in-vehicle device, a user input to cancel the state change request; and effecting cancelation of the state change request in response to the user interface receiving the user input to the cancel the state change operation.

Abstract: An addressable apparatus and method for simultaneous presentation of a performance script or other commentary, dialogue, and/or visual information available in the original language or one or more translations which can be selected by the user. Other visual information such as, sponsors, advertisements, and emergency alerts can be transmitted to each display in full color graphics or video. In one embodiment, a touch screen interface can allow point of sale applications pre-show, during intermissions, and/or post-show. Individual addressability allows direct messaging capabilities, seat-naming, anti direct-marketing media opportunities.
