  • Patent number: 10111036
Abstract: Architecture that generates a notification when a user arrives at a location, but without exposing identity of the location. Moreover, the notification can be generated and transmitted at all times. The architecture comprises a reminder service that manages all reminder requests and approvals, a notification engine that notifies a requesting user when target user arrived at a specific location or one of a general category of location, and a user interface that allows the user to set reminders that are displayed when the target user arrives at the point of interest and approves other user reminder requests. The architecture can be run on a mobile phone, and manages user requests and user approvals for location based notifications, alerts a requesting user the target user arrived at one of previously-specified points of interest. Similarly, a general category of destination can be specified, rather than a specific point of interest.

  • Publication number: 20180084503
Abstract: Architecture that facilitates power conservation in mobile devices such as cell phones using prediction. The architecture is an algorithmic-based solution that transforms infrequently-captured geolocation data of an entity into a continuous probable location approximation. Given the location history and additional data about the recent location of the mobile device, the current location of the device can be estimated with some probability. Additionally, given the location history and additional data about the recent location of the device, the probability of the device actually being at a given point on a map is computed.

  • Publication number: 20160379226
Abstract: Technologies are described herein for providing intelligent identification of multidimensional insights from staged process data. In some configurations, the techniques described herein obtain process data defining a multistage process and attributes relating to individual stages of the process. Configurations analyze the process data to identify the attributes characterizing at least one conversion between individual stages. For example, attributes associated with users interacting with a retail site may be identified. The attributes can include any activity or characteristic such as a user's location, age, length of time on a site, etc. The attributes define classifications that provide insights into target areas. Techniques disclosed herein also involve the generation of output data defining the one or more attributes associated with at least one stage and/or conversion of the process.

  • Patent number: 8831637
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a location based service (LBS) that updates a first version of information provided a mobile terminal responsive to a geo-query relative to a second, later version of information responsive to the geo-query by transmitting portions of the second version to the mobile terminal rather than all of the second version.
