The methods may include receiving input from the individual, determining a first type of workout based on the input, determining a plurality of workout sessions for the first type of workout for a workout plan, determining a second type of workout that is different than the first type of workout based on input from the individual, determining a plurality of workout sessions for the second type of workout for the workout plan, and storing data describing the workout plan, including data describing the workout sessions for the for the first and second types of workouts, in a memory accessible by a server computer system.

Abstract: We have disclosed systems and methods for monitoring an individual's performance during a physical activity. The methods may include using a first component and second component each configured to be worn or carried by the individual during a physical activity. The methods may include the first component communicating wirelessly with the second component over a personal area network during the physical activity, the first component determining that the second component has ceased communication with the first component during the physical activity, and the first component adapting a function in response to determining that the second component has ceased communication with the first component.

Abstract: We have disclosed systems and methods for displaying information about a physical activity conducted by an individual. The methods may include defining a performance parameter zone for a particular performance parameter, receiving and storing in a memory device data associated with a physical activity, initiating a graphical display on a display screen that includes a representation of the route based on the received and stored data. The data may include a plurality of performance parameter data points correlated with a plurality of position points collected as the individual traversed a geographic route. The representation of the route may include multiple portions of the route having different visual characteristics corresponding to a portion of the route where the individual was or was not performing within the performance parameter zone.

The memory may store computer readable instruction that, when executed by the processor, cause the portable fitness monitoring device to generate a first visual output for the display that includes an indication of the intensity level that the individual should be performing at, and generate a second visual output for the display that includes an indication of the intensity level that the individual is currently performing at.
