Abstract: A portable apparatus for providing acoustic and/or weather shielding for audio and/or video recording devices. The apparatus includes a collapsible housing case having a top panel, two side panels each attached to opposite sides of the top panel, and a rear panel attached to the top panel and a rigid side support attached to each side panel. The apparatus additionally includes a mounting bar that is attachable to each of the rigid side supports and at least one sound absorbing inner liner arranged on an interior side of the top panel, the two side panels and the rear panel. When the apparatus is in an operable configuration, the rear panel is structured and arranged to be moveable from a rear-access covering position to a rear-access non-covering position to provide a selectively openable rear access to an interior of the apparatus.

The sound isolation enclosure further includes a door frame module, which includes a swing open door frame. The sound isolation enclosure additionally includes a plurality of modular soundproofing panels including flexible composite layered sound blocking material and sound absorbent sheet material. At least one of the plurality of modular soundproofing panels may include the swing open door. Each of the plurality of modular sound proofing panels comprise attachers operable to connect adjacent sound proofing panels consecutively to one another to form a continuous wall of the sound isolation enclosure.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for suppressing ventilation fan noise by covering fan blades and optionally duct with sound absorbing liner made out of soft flexible durable material such as felt. Another apparatus and method is encasing the fan unit in a sleeve made out of sound blocking, antivibration materials, such as mass loaded vinyl, rubber for housing portion, and sound absorbing materials, such as acoustic blankets for sleeve extension or combination of both. A preferred method includes covering the fan blades permanently or removably with felt liner in a way that the whole blade is covered and extra fringe material is trailing off the edge of the blades. The sound dampening casing includes duct case made out of mass loaded vinyl and rubber and the extension sleeve made out of sound absorbing material such as acoustic blanket.

Abstract: An apparatus for suspending articles from an upwardly facing horizontal edge having a bracket member and a clip member, where the two members are permanently or releasably attached. The bracket member preferably includes a generally flat inverted U-shaped portion to be placed over a door; the clip member includes first and second jaw portions extending from the hinge portion and a locking mechanism designed to deform the clip member from open to closed configuration. This invention offers solutions for manufacturing the apparatus from resilient or non-resilient material, although it is preferable that the clip member is made of resilient material, due to simplicity, economy of manufacture, and durability. The embodiments described in the invention are differ in the construction of their closing mechanism and the nature of the clip-bracket assembly, but it should also be understood that various combinations of features from different embodiments of this invention are also possible.
