    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a sensor device includes a sensor, a control unit configured to cause the sensor to perform sensing and receive a signal from the sensor, and a processor configured to determine presence or absence of a sensing and obtain biometric information of the sensing target. The control unit is configured to cause the sensor to perform first sensing and cause the sensor to perform second sensing when the processor determines the presence of the sensing target during the first sensing. Power consumption during the first sensing is less than power consumption during the second sensing.
