  • Publication number: 20240015578
Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to uplink buffer management are provided. In some aspects, a user equipment receives a synchronization acknowledgment message destined for a device tethered to the user equipment and transmitted by an application server at a network to which the user equipment is connected. In some aspects, the synchronization acknowledgment message includes an application server receiver window size indicating available buffer space in a receive buffer of the application server. The user equipment can modify the application server receiver window size in the received synchronization acknowledgment message prior to transmitting the received synchronization acknowledgment to the tethered device.

  • Patent number: 11832129
Abstract: A configuration to adjust expiration of a PDCP reorder timer based on scheduler variations in dual connectivity. The apparatus receives, from a base station, a plurality of data packets. The plurality of data packets received from a first path and a second path. The apparatus detects at least one packet of the plurality of data packets at a PDCP is dropped based on an OOW. The apparatus determines a scheduling gap between the first path and the second path. The apparatus determines a timing relationship between the UE, the first path, and the second path. The apparatus determines consecutive sequence numbers associated with packets corresponding to the frame numbering sequence of the first path and the frame numbering sequence of the second path and a respective associated time. The apparatus adjusts a reorder timer based on the scheduling gap between the first path and the second path.

  • Patent number: 11395329
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a communication configuration for a bearer including a first link and a second link. The UE may identify packets for transmission, and each of the packets may be associated with a sequence number. The UE may receive a first grant of first uplink resources and a second grant of second uplink resources, and the UE may determine an association of the packets to the first uplink resources or the second uplink resources based on the sequence numbers of the packets and respective completion times of decoding processes associated with the first uplink resources and the second uplink resources. The UE may transmit the packets over the first uplink resources or the second uplink resources in accordance with the determined association of the packets to the first uplink resources or the second uplink resources.

  • Patent number: 10123040
Abstract: Video telephony (VT) call management techniques are described. The techniques enable a device to cache intra-frame data at a pre-decoder-initialization stage. An example device includes a memory configured to store video data associated with a VT call, a video decoder configured to render a portion of the stored video data; and one or more processors. The processor(s) are configured to determine whether the received video frame data comprises i-frame data, to determine whether the video decoder is in a pre-initialized state or an initialized state, and when the received video frame data comprises the i-frame data and the video decoder is in the pre-initialized state, to store the i-frame data to the memory.

  • Publication number: 20170181215
Abstract: Methods and devices for wireless communication are disclosed. For example, one method includes detecting a loss of connectivity between a user equipment and a network, the user equipment having at least a first and second layer of a communication protocol. The method further includes sending messages from the first layer to the second layer, at least one message of the messages being delayed at the second layer based on the loss of connectivity. The method also includes identifying, at the first layer, at least one trigger condition, determining, at the first layer, to abort the sending of a first delayed message to the network based on the identified at least one trigger condition, communicating, by the first layer, to the second layer the determination to abort the first delayed message; and aborting the sending of the first delayed message at the second layer.
