Patent number: 12172378Abstract: Implantable devices having rougher surfaces and more surface area can be made of polymers such as PEEK or PAEK using a 3D printing process. The 3D implantable devices can be soaked in a lipase solution to etch the surface which can alter the surface energy, surface roughness, and atomic composition. After the lipase solution soaking, the 3D printed implantable devices can be removed from the solution and thoroughly rinsed with a cleaning fluid such as an acetone solution. The outer surfaces of the lipase treated 3D printed implantable device can also be surface activated by UV light or other photocatalytic activity to decrease bacteria attachment and growth. The surface energy of the resulting 3D printed implantable devices enhances patient ingrowth resulting in a faster recovery.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2021Date of Patent: December 24, 2024Assignee: Zeda Holdings, Inc.Inventors: Thomas Webster, Christopher Dang, Aditya Prakash Morey, Dylan Tepper

Patent number: 12137409Abstract: A control plane (CP) function for mobility management may receive, from a user equipment (UE), a message which indicates a registration request for registration to a network slice. The CP function may select, as an allowed slice ID, a first slice ID of a first network slice in which to register the UE. The first slice ID has a slice/service type (SST) value indicating an SST and a first slice differentiator (SD) value associated with a first level of service to be provided. The CP function may alternatively select, as the allowed slice ID, a second slice ID of a second network slice in which to register the UE based on unavailability of the slice type associated with the first level of service. The second slice ID has the SST value indicating the slice type and a second SD value associated with a second level of service to be provided.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2021Date of Patent: November 5, 2024Assignee: CISCO TECHNOLOGY, INC.Inventors: Ravi Shekhar, Aditya Prakash, Amit Shivhare, Vimal Srivastava

Patent number: 12010758Abstract: A network function selectively supports a mobile device with network settings appropriate for the device context of the mobile device. The network function obtains a device profile for the mobile device, which identifies multiple device groups, with each device group being associated with a corresponding set of network settings. The network function selects a device group among the device groups in the device profile based on a device context of the mobile device. Responsive to a notification of the mobile device in a different device context, the network function supports the mobile device with a different set of network settings that cause a Session Management Function (SMF) to reconfigure the user plane for the mobile device.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2023Date of Patent: June 11, 2024Assignee: CISCO TECHNOLOGY, INC.Inventors: Aditya Prakash, Ravi Shekhar, Vimal Srivastava

Publication number: 20240154865Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for a connection server that handles connections between a network management system in a public cloud and datacenters managed by the network management system. The method receives (i) a first application programming interface (API) request for a first local network manager located at a first datacenter belonging to a first datacenter group of a first tenant and (ii) a second API request for a second local network manager located at a second datacenter belonging to a second datacenter group of a second tenant. Based on site identifiers respectively associated with the first and second datacenters and included in the first and second API requests, the method respectively sends the first and second API requests to the first and second local network managers via first and second connections previously initiated by the first and second local network managers.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2023Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Sudipta Biswas, Rajiv Mordani, Aditya Prakash Vaja, Monotosh Das

TRANSLATION OF API REQUESTS FOR CONNECTION BETWEEN NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND MANAGED DATACENTERS
Publication number: 20240152376Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for a connection server that handles a connection between a network management system in a public cloud and a datacenter belonging to a datacenter group managed by the network management system. The method receives an API request, having a first format, for a local network manager located at the datacenter. The method translates the API request into a second format used by the connection between the network management system and the datacenter. The connection is a type that (i) allows for the connection server to push data onto the connection when the connection is initiated by a connection agent at the datacenter and (ii) uses the second format. The method sends the translated API request in the second format to the connection agent via the connection. The connection agent translates the API request into the first format for execution at the local network manager.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2023Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Sudipta Biswas, Rajiv Mordani, Aditya Prakash Vaja, Monotosh Das -
Patent number: 11785662Abstract: Presented herein are techniques to provide data session continuity for parallel data sessions involving a multiple Universal Subscriber Identity Module (MUSIM) user equipment (UE). In one example, a method may include obtaining an indication that session continuity for a first session associated with a first data network and a first USIM of a UE is allowed with respect to a second USIM in which the UE communicates first traffic for the first session via the first USIM. The method may further include determining that second traffic for a second session is to be communicated via the second USIM of the UE and, based on the indication that session continuity for the first session is allowed with respect to the second USIM, providing service information to the UE for the first session to enable the UE to communicate both the first traffic and the second traffic via the second USIM.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 2021Date of Patent: October 10, 2023Assignee: CISCO TECHNOLOGY, INC.Inventors: Aditya Prakash, Ravi Shekhar, Vimal Srivastava, Amit Shivhare

Patent number: 11627441Abstract: A control plane function node may be used in a Fifth Generation (5G) Non-Standalone (NSA) architecture having Radio Access Network (RAN) level interworking between a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) RAN and a 5G New Radio (NR). The node obtains usage report data which are based on traffic of a user equipment (UE) via primary and secondary Radio Access Technologies (RATs). The node also obtains secondary RAT usage report data which are based on traffic of the UE via the secondary RAT. The node constructs a message which indicates a request for charging based on the usage report data and the secondary RAT usage report data. In constructing the message, the node populates, in association with a corresponding rating group and usage data of the UE, an identifier of a flow or bearer associated with secondary RAT usage, together with the secondary RAT usage report data.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2021Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignee: CISCO TECHNOLOGY, INC.Inventors: Dishant Mukesh Parikh, Mukesh Yadav, Aditya Prakash, Ravi Shekhar, Vimal Srivastava

Patent number: 10817618Abstract: In implementations of a recommendation system based on individualized privacy settings, a computing device maintains user profiles of information and recommendations associated with users of the recommendation system. The computing device includes a recommendation module that is implemented to receive a privacy level selection for a type of items corresponding to a user profile in the system. The recommendation module can determine a privacy setting for a user associated with the user profile, where the privacy setting is individualized for the user in context of the type of items with an algorithmic noise function utilized to obfuscate a proportional level of the information associated with the user and the type of items based on the received privacy level selection. The recommendation module can also generate recommendations of relevant items for the user based on the determined privacy setting as individualized for the user in context of the type of items.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2018Date of Patent: October 27, 2020Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Ankur Garg, Kritin Kesav Sai Sathi, Kirnesh Nandan, Iftikhar Ahamath Burhanuddin, Aditya Prakash
