  • Patent number: 4412837
Abstract: Process for imprinting textiles made from cellulose fibers or cellulose fibers mixed with other fibers employing reactive and/or developing dyes according to the etch-resist process using printing dyes which contain per 1000 parts by weight, 10 to 100 parts by weight of one or more of the following compounds: butyl glycol, butyl diglycol, butyl triglycol, 1,2-butane diol, 2,5-hexane diol, and diethylene glycol monoethylether. This results in essentially complete penetration.

    Assignee: BASF Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Adolf Blum, Hans D. Opitz
  • Patent number: 4400174
Abstract: Process for printing on synthetic fibers of polyester, triacetate, acetate and polyamide as well as mixtures of these substances with disperse dyes according to the discharge or reserve discharge process, wherein a mixture of(a) 5 to 75 parts by weight of at least one reducing agent and(b) 5 to 90 parts by weight of a specified alkoxylated amine is used as the discharging agent.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4398914
Abstract: Process for printing on synthetic fibers of polyester, triacetate, acetate and polyamide and mixtures of these fibers with dispersion dyes according to the discharge or discharge resist process, where a mixture of the following substances is used as a discharging agent:(a) 5 to 50 parts by weight of a compound having formula ##STR1## in which Me=Na, K, NH.sub.4 and alkyl substituted ammonium groups or an ammonium derivative which contains at least one radical derived from an alkali metal or ammonium salt of methane sulfinic acid,(b) 5 to 50 parts by weight of hexamethylene tetramine and(c) 0 to 20 parts by weight of anthraquinone.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 8, 1982
Date of Patent: August 16, 1983
    Assignee: BASF Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Adolf Blum, Peter Kutschera, Guenther Vogl
  • Patent number: 4278433
Abstract: A process for the production of resist prints under reactive dyes on textile materials which consist of cellulose fibers or a blend of cellulose fibers with other fibers, using reaction products of bisulfite adducts of aldehydes of 2 to 6 carbon atoms, or of ketones, with ammonia, primary amines or secondary amines in the molar ratio of from 3:1 to 1:1 as resists. Preferably, reaction products of a bisulfite adduct of acetaldehyde and ammonia in the molar ratio of from 3:1 to 1:1 are employed as resists. Because of the high stability of the resist print pastes, high color yields of the resist dye and satisfactory, reproducible resist effects of the ground dye are achieved.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: July 14, 1981
    Assignee: BASF Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 4049377
Abstract: An improved process for dyeing or printing water-swellable cellulosic fibers and mixtures of said cellulosic fibers with synthetic fibers by contacting the fibers throughout with a dye liquor or print paste which contains, as essential ingredients, water in an amount sufficient to swell the cellulosic fibers, a water-insoluble disperse dye and a water-soluble solvent for the disperse dye such as polyethylene glycol or boric acid esters of polyethylene glycols, and heating the contacted fibers to fix the dye, the improvement comprising the addition of from 0.5 to 5% by weight, based on the dye liquor or print paste, of a condensate of an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid of from 8 to 20 carbon atoms and a primary or secondary hydroxyalkylamine of up to 6 carbon atoms, which condensate may be ethoxylated with up to 20 moles of ethylene oxide per mole of condensate.
