  • Patent number: 5594182
Abstract: Apparatus for taking a sample of a fluid. The apparatus contains a sampling station and a part which can be uncoupled therefrom, in Which a sampling bomb space and a four-way cock are integrated. The sampling station contains a first sample supply sub conduit with coupling element and a first sample discharge sub conduit with coupling element. The part further contains a second sample supply sub conduit with coupling element, a second sample discharge sub conduit with coupling element, and a sampling bomb supply and sampling bomb discharge conduit arranged between the four-way cock and the sampling bomb space. In a first position of the four-way cock the sampling bomb conduits are connected to each other and the second sub conduits to each other. In a second position of the four-way cock, suitable for taking a sample, the second sample supply sub conduit is connected to the sampling bomb supply conduit and the sampling bomb discharge conduit with the second sample discharge sub conduit.

  • Patent number: 4887472
Abstract: A sampler including a hood having a valve mounted at one end and a reciprocally related sleeve slidably mounted in the hood. a sample bottle having a septum is held in a bottle retainer that is slidably mounted on the hood. A pair of needles extend from the hood and communicate with a pair of bores that extend through the hood. One bore is vented to the exterior while the other bore communicates with channels in the valve. The needles may be sterilized, in a simple manner, prior to and/or after sampling. In a special embodiment of the sampler it is possible to sterilize the needles after sampling and before the needles contact the ambient air.

  • Patent number: 4174632
Abstract: The problem encountered with filling sample bottles with the aid of a known device, that dangerous liquids can only be manipulated by using a branch line to a closed casing, has according to the invention be solved by placing an injection needle within a cap which is fixedly connected to the process portion and has an internal surface which corresponds with the external surface of the sample bottle, which cap preferably also has a slot so that a worker can see to which extent the bottle is filled.
