  • Patent number: 8511713
Abstract: A fluid connection device (1), comprising a tubular shaft (2), the interior of which is divided by a partition (8) into two partial spaces (6,9) separated from each other. A respective side opening (11,12) opens into each of the two partial spaces. The side openings are covered by an elastomeric sleeve (3) so that the side openings are sealed shut as long as no other external forces act on the sleeve. By means of a union nut (4), which is intended to connect the tubular shaft to a container and is screwed onto the fitting thereof, the sleeve is compressed in the axial direction and produces an annular gap that extends across the side openings, by means of which the side openings are flow-connected from then on.

  • Patent number: 7410333
Abstract: The invention relates to a milling tool (1) for opening laser welded connections between thin metal sheets. The milling tool includes a rotary drive (2), which is used to operate a milling cutter (9). The head of the milling cutter (9) protrudes through an opening (28) in a base plate (4) that forms an even contact surface (25) for defining the penetration depth of the milling cutter head in the material. In addition, the base plate (4) is provided with a lateral contact surface or contact edge (27) that introduces the reaction force, which originates from the cutting force, directly and rapidly into a contact surface of the bodywork section that is to be treated.

  • Patent number: 5052095
Abstract: Elongated tubular components are assembled with closures at an assembling station between a first conveyor which delivers properly oriented tubular components and a second conveyor which delivers properly oriented closures. One or more plungers are employed to transfer closures from discrete sockets of the second conveyor onto the adjacent ends of aligned components on the first conveyor. The sockets can receive closures from a web-like carrier which is or can be of one piece with the closures. The transfer of closures from the carrier into the sockets is effected by the pusher or pushers on a transporting device which is driven in synchronism with the second conveyor. The carrier can be drawn from a magazine or is supplied directly by a machine wherein the carrier is formed by providing a strip with a series of spaced-apart closures.
