Abstract: Concentrated fabric softeners consisting substantially of 12 to 50 weight % of a quaternary ammonium compound customary for softeners, 2 to 20 weight of a fatty amine polyglycol ether of the formulae ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is alkyl or alkenyl having from 8 to 22, preferably 16 to 18, carbon atoms, x and y each are hydrogen or methyl with the proviso that x and y are not simultaneously methyl, n.sub.1 and n.sub.2 together are an integer of from 2 to 50, preferably 25, and p and m either are simultaneously zero, or p is 1 and m is 1, 2 or preferably 3, 3 to 30 weight % of a C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alcohol, an acid in an amount which is equimolar to component (b), and water and optionally further usual auxiliaries in amounts remaining to complete 100%.

Abstract: Softener-containing washing agents which, in addition to the customary components of washing agents, contain 0 to 10% by weight of a quaternary ammonium compound and 1 to 30% by weight of a softener system which comprises 10 to 90% by weight of a tertiary amine and 90 to 10% by weight of a crystalline sheet-silicate of the formulaMe.sub.2 Si.sub.x O.sub.2x+1 .multidot. yH.sub.2 Oin which Me denotes an alkali metal ion or a proton, x denotes a number greater than 7, in particular from 7.5 to 23, and y denotes a number smaller than 7 x, in particular smaller than x. In the softener system, the tertiary amine is in a state of adsorption on the alkali metal silicate. Abstract: Amphoteric compounds of the formula ##STR1## and their mixtures with compounds of the formulaR.sup.2 --NH--(CH.sub.2).sub.d --NH--(CH.sub.2).sub.e --COOH . y HA (II)and, where appropriate, of the formula ##STR2## in which R.sup.1 =R.sup.2 =R.sup.3 and is an alkyl or alkenyl radical having 8 to 22 carbon atoms; A is the anion of a mineral or carboxylic acid; a and b are 2 or 3; c is 1 or 2; x is 0, 1, 2 or 3; d is 3; e is 1 or 2; y is 0, 1 or 2; f and g are 2 or 3; h and i are 1 or 2; and z is 0, 1, 2 or 3, and processes for the preparation of these compounds and mixtures are described. They have microbicidal properties and are suitable as disinfectant cleaning agents.

Abstract: Quaternary N-alkyl-N,N'-,N'-polyoxyalkyl-.alpha.,.omega.-diamino-alkylene fatty acid esters of the formula (1) ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is C.sub.8 -C.sub.30, preferably C.sub.16 -C.sub.18 -alkyl, or C.sub.8 -C.sub.30, preferably C.sub.16 -C.sub.18 -alkenyl,R.sub.2 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, preferably methyl,R.sub.3 is C.sub.7 -C.sub.29, preferably C.sub.15 -C.sub.17 -alkyl or C.sub.7 -C.sub.29, preferably C.sub.15 -C.sub.17 -alkenyl,x and y each are hydrogen or methyl with the proviso that x and y are not simultaneously methyl,a is 0, 1 or 2,n is an integer of from 1 to 11, preferably 1,m is 1 or 2,p is an integer or from 1 to 5, preferably 3, andA is an anion, preferably a halogen, methosulfate or methophosphate ion.These compounds are prepared by esterifying the basis oxalkylated alkylene diamines with fatty acids and subsequent quaternization. They are used as softeners.

Abstract: Concentrated masterbatches of fabric softeners consisting substantially of(a) from 20 to 70, weight % of one or more compounds of the formulae I to III, ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is alkyl or alkenyl having from 8 to 22, carbon atoms, R.sub.2 is alkyl having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R.sub.3 is methyl or hydrogen, x is a number of from 1 to 5 and A is an anion(b) from 20 to 60, weight % of a paraffin, a fatty alcohol, a fatty acid, a fatty acid-C.sub.1 -C.sub.13 -alkyl ester, each having from 8 to 22, carbon atoms, a polyethyleneglycol having a molecular weight of from 200 to 600, an alkyl ester having from 8 to 22, carbon atoms of a polyethyleneglycol having a molecular weight of from 200 to 600 or a polypropyleneglycol having a molecular weight of from 200 to 1,000 or mixtures thereof,(c) from 5 to 25 weight % of an amino-oxethylate of the formula ##STR2## in which R.sub.

Abstract: Transparent, liquid fabric softener concentrates consisting substantially of(a) from 26 to 40 weight % of a cationic softener,(b) from 0.01 to 8, weight % of an anionic surfactant,(c) from 0.01 to 8, weight % of a nonionic dispersant,(d) from 3 to 30, weight % of a C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alcohol, and(e) water, optionally perfume, dyestuffs and other auxiliaries in amounts remaining to complete to 100%.

Abstract: Liquid textile softeners composed of an aqueous solution or dispersion of compounds of the formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 denotes C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, x and y each denote hydrogen or methyl, it being excluded, however, for x and y to denote simultaneously methyl, n is an integer of from 1 to 10, m is the integer 1 or 2, p is an integer of from 1 to 5, R.sub.2 denotes C.sub.8 -C.sub.30 alkyl and, if appropriate, other auxiliaries.

Abstract: Fabric softeners which result in an improved rewettability of the textile material treated with the same and which are present in the form of an aqueous solution or dispersion containing from 3 to 15% by weight of one or several quaternary ammonium compounds and from 0.5 to 1.5% by weight of a compound of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.4 is alkyl or alkenyl of from 4 to 20 carbon atoms, cyclohexyl or aryl optionally substituted by alkyl groups, x and y are hydrogen or methyl, but are not methyl at the same time, n is a number of from 0 to 20, Z is a group of formula --(CH.sub.2).sub.m COOMe, --SO.sub.3 Me or --PO.sub.3 Me.sub.2 m is an integer of from 0 to 3, and Me is an alkali metal or ammonium ion, as well as optionally further common auxiliaries and additives.

Abstract: A water-repellent gypsum mortar contains an agent conferring hydrophobic properties, which is composed of (a) a fatty amine of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is C.sub.8 -C.sub.22 -alkyl, C.sub.8 -C.sub.22 -alkenyl or C.sub.8 -C.sub.22 -alkylphenyl, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -hydroxyalkyl, phenyl, benzyl or a group of the formula --(CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O).sub.n H and n is a number from 0 to 4,(b) a low-molecular acid and(c) an alkali metal siliconate.

Abstract: Fabric softener concentrates, which contain of from(a) about 30 to 70 weight % of a cationic softener,(b) about 5 to 50 weight % of a non-ionic softener,(c) about 5 to 20 weight % of a non-ionic dispersing agent,(d) about 5 to 30 weight % of a C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkanol,(e) about 5 to 30 weight % of a liquid glycol, polyglycol or an alkyl ether thereof, and(f) water and optionally perfume and dyestuffs, in quantities representing the remainder to 100 weight %.

Abstract: Quaternary ammonium compounds of the formula 1 ##STR1## in which R is C.sub.8 -C.sub.30 -alkyl or alkenyl; R.sub.1 is alkyl, 2-hydroxyalkyl or alkenyl each having from 8 to 30 carbon atoms; R.sub.2 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or benzyl; A is a group of the formulae ##STR2## B is A or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylene, X and Y are hydrogen or methyl with the proviso that X and Y are not simultaneously methyl; m is 1 or 2; n is a number of from 1 to 20; and A.sup.(-) is an anion; a process for the preparation thereof, and their use as fabric softeners.

Abstract: Filler slurries with a content of 0.1 to 5% by weight of a compound of the formula ##STR1## in which R is hydrogen or methyl, R.sub.1 is C.sub.8 -C.sub.24 -alkyl, C.sub.8 -C.sub.24 -alkenyl or C.sub.8 -C.sub.24 -alkylphenyl, R.sub.2 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -hydroxyalkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -epoxyalkyl, benzyl or a group of the formula ##STR2## X, Y and Z together are a number from 1 to 20, and A means an anion.

Abstract: Fabric softening compositions in the form of liquid, aqueous dispersions, containing a condensation product of 1 to 1.5 mols of fatty acid or of a fatty acid ester of the formula Ir--co.sub.2 x (i)in which R is an aliphatic radical having about 11 to 21 carbon atoms and X is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, and 1 mol of an alkylpropylenediaminoxalkylate of the formula II ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is an aliphatic radical having 12 to 22 carbon atoms and R.sub.2 is hydrogen or methyl and x, y and z are 0 or 1, the sum of x, y and z being 1 to 2; and a cationic disinfectant. In addition to their softening properties and on account of their content of quaternary ammonium compounds having disinfecting properties, the fabric softeners of the invention have antimicrobial action.

Abstract: Fabric softeners in the form of aqueous solutions or dispersions which contain as active ingredient one or several compounds of the formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is long-chain alkyl, X and Y are hydrogen or methyl, X and Y not being methyl simultaneously, n is an integer of 1 to 20, R.sub.2 is lower alkyl and A is an anion.

Abstract: A fabric softener which contains as fabric-softening agent from 1 to 35% by weight of a condensation product obtained from about 1 to 1.5 moles of a fatty acid or a fatty acid ester of the formula Ir--co.sub.2 x (i),in which R represent an aliphatic radical having from about 11 to 21 carbon atoms, and X stands for hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, with 1 mole of an alkyl-propylene-diaminoxalkylate of the formula II ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 represents an aliphatic radical having from 12 to 22 carbon atoms, and R.sub.2 stands for hydrogen or methyl, and x, y and z stand for 0 or 1, the sum of x, y and z being from 1 to 2.
