    Abstract: The present invention pertains to a present atomizing type burner (1) for an engine independent heating system in a vehicle, comprising a pump (2) for feeding liquid fuel (4) through the fuel pipe (5) to the spray nozzle (3), a ventilator (6) for feeding combustion air (7) to the combustion chamber, an electric motor (9) for driving both the fuel pump (2) and the ventilator (6), and an igniting device (10) for firing the air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber (8). The invention suggests that the system be fitted with a voltage and speed regulator (11) for the electric motor (9), as well as a device for regulating the fuel pump (2) pressure after the heating system has ignited and the flame has become stable.

    Abstract: A suction for the combustion air of a heater, in particular a motor vehicle heater, has a variable cross-section of flow. The object of the invention is to improve the operation of the device that modifies the cross-section of flow and to allow it to be more rationally produced. In addition, it should allow the suction air to be filtered in association with said means without extending the axial length of the heater. For that purpose, the suction pipe is designed as an axially closed tube with radial openings whose cross-sections may be changed by a coaxial, rotary ring set on the outside of the pipe and provided with radial openings. A hood may be axially drawn over the ring on the housing of the heater. Suction air may be filtered in said hood, either by centrifugaton in spiral channels arranged in the hood or by using a ring-shaped filter through which the suction air flows in the radial direction.

    Abstract: A heating device for pre-heating liquid fuel, especially diesel fuel and for heating devices of a low heating performance which are independent from a motor have a heating performance which is suitable for mounting into vehicles, which are driven by the liquid fuel. The pre-heating is effected by a transmission of heat of the exhaust gas to the fuel of the heating device, the fuel being lead through a continuous tubular wrapping in one layer or through a hollow cylinder formed or positioned around the exhaust pipe. This wrapping or hollow cylinder is part of the fuel main from the fuel tank to the fuel supply pump of the heating device. A pre-heating of the content of the tank is effected by the return of the pre-heated, but not burnt fuel through a fuel return main back into the tank. A heat transmitting jacket is advantageously disposed between the wrapping, or a hollow cylinder and the exhaust gas pipe.
