  • Publication number: 20170156837
Abstract: A method for applying a composition to teeth and a dispenser for dispensing a composition. The method of the present invention is directed to the storage and dispensing of a composition. During storage and subsequent use the composition in the storage chamber must be maintained segregated from the applicator surface. This is accomplished by delivering the composition from the storage chamber through a delivery channel having a length and a cross-sectional diameter sufficient to preclude the migration of moisture and the enzyme catalase from the application surface to the storage chamber. The composition is applied to teeth by means of bristles, a sponge surface or fibrillated surface. This applicator can be used with both aqueous and non-aqueous compositions.

  • Patent number: 9610148
Abstract: The method of the present invention is directed to the storage and dispensing of a peroxide containing tooth whitening composition. During storage and subsequent use the composition in the storage chamber must be maintained segregated from the applicator surface. This is accomplished by delivering the peroxide containing tooth whitening composition from the storage chamber through a delivery channel having a length and a cross-sectional diameter sufficient to preclude the migration of moisture and the enzyme catalase from the application surface to the storage chamber. The composition is applied to teeth by means of bristles, a sponge surface or fibrillated surface. This applicator can be used with both aqueous and non-aqueous peroxide containing tooth whitening compositions.

  • Publication number: 20050242095
Abstract: A container and tamper evident closure comprising a container having a body portion, shoulder and a cylindrical dispensing unit extending upward from the shoulder. The closure is comprised of a closure aperture with a skirt depending from the area of the closure aperture. The cylindrical dispensing unit has a rotation limiting mechanism. The closure attaches to the cylindrical dispensing unit or to the shoulder and has one or more weakened areas on the skirt. Upon the twisting of the closure to remove it from the container the weakened areas are stressed and show distortion or are severed. This is clear evidence of tampering.

  • Publication number: 20050156359
Abstract: Tube containers that have a barrier structure can be altered in shape by post-forming techniques. This post-forming comprises placing a formed and heated tube on a mandrel and having a surrounding mold having the final desired shape of the tube. The inner wall then is pressurized through the mandrel with an optional use of a vacuum on the mold. The tube walls are altered in shape to a degree that will not be deleterious to the barrier properties of the tube wall.
