Abstract: A tissue repair patch having an outer side and an inner side is described. The tissue repair patch includes a structural component comprising collagen and/or chorion and a regenerative component comprising amniotic tissue. Methods of tissue repair using the tissue repair patch are also described.

Abstract: A method of diagnosing the risk that a subject has or has an increased risk of developing overactive bladder syndrome is described. The method includes detecting the levels of choline and/or acetylcholine in a biological sample from the subject, comparing the detected levels to reference values, and characterizing the subject as having an increased risk of having or developing overactive bladder syndrome if the choline and/or acetylcholine values are higher than the reference values. Kits for determining choline and/or acetylcholine levels in a subject, and methods of treating a subject for overactive bladder syndrome are also described.

Abstract: A biologic material is disclosed. The biologic material comprises a crosslinked structural protein and macrophages seeded on the crosslinked structural protein. A method of use of the biologic material for an immunoregenerative treatment in a patient in need thereof also is disclosed. The method comprises steps of: (1) seeding the macrophages on the crosslinked structural protein, thereby obtaining the biologic material; and (2) implanting the biologic material into the patient.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition for sustained release of a chemokine is described that includes a polymer bonded to a sulfated glycosaminoglycan and loaded with a chemokine having affinity for the sulfated glycosaminoglycan. The pharmaceutical composition can be used in a method for providing sustained release of a chemokine to subject by contacting the subject with the pharmaceutical composition.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for treating urinary incontinence in a female subject includes an elongated urethral sling having a central support portion intermediate first and second end portions. The central support portion includes first and second ends. The first and second end portions are respectively coupled to and extend from the first and second ends of the central support portion. The central support portion is made of a non-resorbable polymer mesh, and the first and second end portions are made of a polymer mesh different than the non-resorbable polymer mesh.
