  • Patent number: 11285204
Abstract: The disclosure generally provides recombinant proteins comprising Tobamovirus capsid proteins and an immunogenic epitope of an antigen of interest. The recombinant protein can be used to assemble an array comprising a plurality of associated recombinant proteins that can enhance the immunogenicity of the epitope and induce and/or enhance an immune response to the antigen. The disclosure also provides compositions, such as vaccines, that include the recombinant protein as well as methods for inducing and/or enhancing an immune response in a mammal.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 21, 2018
Date of Patent: March 29, 2022
Assignee: THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES, AS REPRESEN
Inventors: Sheetij Dutta, Adrian Batchelor, Farhat Khan, Mark Langowski

  • Patent number: 10357554
Abstract: Disclosed are AMA-1 immunogenic peptides and epitopes, nucleotide sequences encoding the peptides and epitopes, compositions, and vaccines including the peptides and/or epitopes. Antibodies that specifically bind to AMA-1 and the AMA-1 epitopes and immunogenic peptides disclosed herein are also provided. The disclosure provides for expression vectors, host cells, and methods for making the polypeptides and antibodies. Also provided are methods of treatment, prevention, vaccination, and/or immunization of a subject against malaria and the clinical indications associated with malaria.

  • Patent number: 7488034
Abstract: A child safety seat assembly, including a base for being positioned on a vehicle seat bottom. An anti-rebound bar is carried by the base and extends outwardly and upwardly from a foot end of the base for engaging a seat back of the vehicle seat to which the seat is attached for retarding inertia-induced rotation of the base and the attached carrier by transmitting rotational force applied to the seat during a sudden change in velocity into the seat back of the vehicle seat onto which the seat is attached.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 16, 2007
Date of Patent: February 10, 2009
    Assignee: Britax Child Safety, Inc.
Inventors: Hans Derek Ohren, Phillip Przybylo, Benjamin Shane Bustle, Jerry Wayne Campbell, W. Jake Kozlowski, Jr., Dieter Maier, Adrian Batchelor, Paul Brindley, Troy Mason, Andrew Mendenhall, Paul Zink, Jason Andrews, Dennis Turner

  • Publication number: 20080067845
Abstract: A child safety seat assembly, including a base for being positioned on a vehicle seat bottom. The base includes an Isofix-type latch for attachment of the base to an Isofix bar of the vehicle seat, and a separate seat belt lock-off for allowing the base to be secured to the vehicle seat by means of the vehicle seat belt. A child carrier is provided for being releasably attached to the base. The carrier includes a handle for allowing the carrier to be lifted and carried. The handle includes a latching assembly for releasably locking the carrier to the base and detaching the carrier from the base with a single hand.
