  • Publication number: 20250122593
Abstract: A process of recovering solid potassium/ammonia salts includes: introducing an aqueous stream containing at least one of ammonium cations or potassium cations, and at least one of carbonate anions or bicarbonate anions into a treatment unit; introducing a carbon dioxide stream containing CO2 into the treatment unit; contacting the aqueous stream with the carbon dioxide stream to form a mixture; removing heat from the treatment unit to control a temperature of the mixture; forming a slurry from the mixture, the slurry including water and at least one of a solid potassium salt, or a solid ammonium salt; withdrawing the slurry from the treatment unit as a treated aqueous stream; and introducing the treated aqueous stream into a separator to generate a brine stream, and a recovered potassium and/or ammonia salt stream containing at least one of the solid potassium salt or the solid ammonium salt.

  • Publication number: 20190375035
Abstract: A flange gasket scraper tool includes a handle, and flexible shaft extending from the handle, one or more scraping elements and a removal member. The scraping elements extend outward from the shaft or are located at a distance away from a central axis of the shaft. The removal member is coupled to the shaft and extends back towards the handle. The scraper body may have either a rectangular profile or a triangular profile. The scraper blades are configured with an edge treatment and may be tapered or squared at the edges. In one embodiment the scraper blade, the shaft, and the removal member are in the same plane. The tools are used to enter into and scrape out used gaskets from an area at the end of pipes.

  • Patent number: 10378860
Abstract: A muzzle brake for a firearm is described. In one example, an apparatus includes an inner shroud, an outer shroud, and an attachment portion. The inner shroud is configured to permit passage of a bullet from a firearm through a longitudinal axis and having a plurality of inner vents configured to vent gases caused by the passage of the bullet. The outer shroud is at least partially disposed around the longitudinal axis of the inner shroud and forms a chamber between the inner shroud and the outer shroud. The outer shroud has a plurality of outer vents configured to further vent the gases received through the plurality of inner vents. The attachment portion is connected to at least one of the inner shroud or the outer shroud. The attachment portion is configured to form a removable attachment to a part of the firearm that is other than a barrel of the firearm.

  • Patent number: 10295308
Abstract: A rail system for a firearm is described. In one example, an apparatus includes a barrel nut and a modular rail. The barrel nut is configured to secure a barrel of a firearm and has a non-circular outer surface when taken along an axis that is perpendicular to an axis of the barrel when secured to the firearm. The modular rail has an inner portion having a shape that is complementary to the barrel nut such that the modular rail does not rotate about the axis of the barrel when the inner portion is mated to the outer surface of the barrel nut. The outer surface of the barrel nut may also comprise a cavity and the modular rail may further comprise a rotatable assembly configured to engage the cavity of the barrel nut such that the modular rail does not move along the axis of the barrel.
