  • Publication number: 20120007298
Abstract: An adjustable bicycle workstand is disclosed. The bicycle workstand may include a height adjustable post having at least a first and second tubular member in telescopic arrangement. The second tubular member may be insertable into the first tubular member. The first tubular member may have a ground engaging portion or support base. The workstand may include an internal mechanism for gradual extension and retraction of the second tubular member from the first tubular member. The workstand may include an attachment means for mounting a bicycle associated with the second tubular member. The workstand may be configured for safely raising and lowering a bicycle attached to the stand. Thus, the bicycle workstand may safely and securely support a bicycle for assembly, maintenance and/or repair purposes.

  • Publication number: 20090297793
Abstract: An article of manufacture that provides an integral protective coating that improves lace, cordage, rope, twine, or other tie substrates that will not untie under normal, high performance, or inclement conditions and is stainproof, waterproof, and safer than currently available products. This invention is typically used in fastening shoes, garments, webbing, bags, cinch, or other application where holding fast without slipping is advantages. A coating by example but not limited to, surrounding, permeating, striping, edging, encapsulating the tie substrate consisting of either silicone, rubber, latex, urethane, polyurethane, polyethylene, or other coating type materials that present the desired properties.

  • Patent number: 6565908
Abstract: An ice confection comprising an antifreeze protein, wherein &Dgr; modulus/original modulus ≧0.4, and/or &Dgr; strength/original strength ≧0.4; providing that when &Dgr; modulus/original modulus ≦6.0, &Dgr; modulus ≧50 MPa, and/or when &Dgr; strength/original strength ≦2.0, &Dgr; strength ≧0.2 MPa. Such ice confections have a strong, close-packed continuous network of ice crystals and can be used to manufacture products having novel textures, properties and/or shapes.

  • Patent number: 6503548
Abstract: The method of adding an antifreeze protein to an ice confection to restrict the flow of flavor or color ions or molecules present as either solutes or a dispersion, wherein the ice confection contains no protein other than the antifreeze protein.

  • Patent number: 6447829
Abstract: An ice confection product having a volume of from 1 to 20 ml and a thickness of greater than 5 mm comprising an antifreeze protein, wherein &Dgr; modulus/original modulus≧0.4, and/or &Dgr; strength/original strength≧0.4; providing that when &Dgr; modulus/original modulus≦6.0, &Dgr; modulus≧50 MPa, and/or when &Dgr; strength/original strength≦2.0, &Dgr; strength≧0.2 MPa. Such ice confection products have properties which are akin to boiled sweets. Such products cannot be bitten or chewed but must be sucked, resulting in a product which remains in the mouth longer and is more refreshing.
