  • Patent number: 11949957
Abstract: A method and a system for virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, or 360-degree Video environment is disclosed. The system receives Video Streams associated to audio and video scenes to be reproduced and Audio Streams associated to audio and video scenes to be reproduced. There are provided a Video decoder which decodes signal from the Video Stream for the representation of the audio and video scene; an Audio decoder which decodes signal from the Audio Stream for the representation of the audio and video scene to the user; and a region of interest processor deciding, based e.g. on the user's viewport, head orientation, movement data, or metadata, whether an Audio information message is to be reproduced. At the decision, the reproduction of the Audio information message is caused.

  • Patent number: 4580269
Abstract: An optically pumped semiconductor ring laser having a plurality of reflective elements optically aligned with one another to form a ring-shaped resonant cavity. A semiconductor lasing medium is mounted within the ring-shaped resonant cavity by a transparent, heat conductive mount located within a vacuum/cooling chamber of the type which allows the passage of a laser beam therethrough. A pump beam initiates a lasing action within the ring-shaped resonant cavity to produce said laser beam and said laser beam exits the resonant cavity as a pair of outputs. An alternate embodiment of the above described semiconductor ring laser provides a semblance of unidirectional lasing operation.

  • Patent number: 4495782
Abstract: A transmission Dewar cooling chamber having a housing for supporting a semiconductor crystal therein within a temperature controlled environment. The housing has walls made partially of material transmissive to a preselected wavelength in order to allow the passing of a beam of electromagnetic radiation completely through the housing. In addition, mounting means are provided to move the housing in at least two dimensions. Securing the semiconductor crystal in place within the housing is a uniquely designed frame/mount arrangement which aids in establishing the temperature controlled environment for the crystal while also allowing the beam of electromagnetic radiation to pass completely through the crystal.
