  • Publication number: 20230007840
Abstract: This invention relates to sulfur, vulcanization accelerator and carbon black master batch formulations comprising either a semi-crystalline propylene-olefin copolymer or a combination of a semi-crystalline propylene-olefin copolymer and a hydrocarbon resin. The semi-crystalline propylene-olefin copolymer or the combination of semi-crystalline propylene-olefin copolymer and hydrocarbon resin imparts a high hardness property to the carbon black, sulfur and accelerator master batch formulations thereby preventing pellet agglomeration during storage and allowing for ease in material handling.

  • Patent number: 11549006
Abstract: A polypropylene comprising within a range from 0.1 wt % to 4 wt % ethylene and/or C4 to C12 ?-olefin derived units, one or more clarifiers, or both; wherein the polypropylene has a flexural modulus of at least 200 kpsi (0.05 in/min ASTM D790(A)) and an Mz/Mw of at least 4. The polypropylenes may be made by combining propylene and a comonomer with a Ziegler-Natta catalyst and at least two external electron donors, wherein the concentration of the electron donors is within a range from 1 to 100 ppm. The concentration of electron donors may be decreased to control the haze level of the polypropylene, and/or the level of comonomer derived units may be controlled to reduce the haze level of the polypropylene.

  • Publication number: 20170369688
Abstract: This invention relates to thermoformable blends of propylene polymer and a tackifying resin and thermoformed articles produced from said blends. The thermoformed articles typically have an advantageous combination of good optical properties, stiffness, and barrier properties. This invention further relates to a method of improving the processability of a propylene based polymer by blending the polymer with a tackifying resin.
