    Abstract: A method and data processing apparatus are provided for correcting liquid chromatography data from an evaporative light scattering detector. The method includes the steps of determining the concentration of a solvent for the time at which a substance was detected by the detector. The detector response is determined as a function of mass for that solvent concentration from solvent calibration data and mass calibration data. The actual mass of the substance can then be determined by comparing the measured response of the detector for the substance to the detector response.
