    Abstract: A process for conveying a raw coal as a slurry via a pipeline. High ash content material is dissociated from the raw coal during preparation and pipelining of the coal which enhances the rheology of the slurry. As a result, coarse run-of-mine coal can be transported as a slurry directly to a remote location with little or no pretreatment.
