  • Patent number: 11257174
Abstract: An embodiment method for managing geographic information includes receiving, at a service portal, executed lease data for mineral rights leases on associated first land parcels, generating first map data according to the executed lease data, and sending the first map data through a network interface to a client application for display to a first user at a first remote terminal. The method further includes receiving, from the first remote terminal, data for a proposed division order boundary, determining one or more of the first land parcels having boundaries that at least partly overlap the proposed division order boundary, generating division order data related to portions of the one or more first land parcels, and sending the division order data to the first remote terminal for display to the user.

  • Publication number: 20070086551
Abstract: A apparatus (700) and method (600) are presented for preventing glitches and data loss in an Digital Base Band (DBB) portion (110) of an Ultra Wideband (UWB) receiver. a first and a second recovered clock (111, 112) and an external clock (109) can be input to a switch (116). Logical rules (490) can be used to determine conditions under which to hold the state of an output clock (310, 320) based on the states of a first clock (410, 420, 430, 440) and a second clock (450, 460, 470, 480) and the state of a switch request signal (312). In addition to holding the state of the output clock, a first data stream (501) associated with the first clock and a second data stream (502) associated with the second clock can be synchronized such that when switching from the first to the second clock no data loss will be experienced in the data stream.

  • Publication number: 20070030884
Abstract: A method (800) is provided of processing a wireless signal (105) at a receiving device (125). The method includes: receiving the wireless signal at the receiving device; performing an acquisition process (820, 830) to determine a phase estimate for the wireless signal; adjusting the phase estimate by a correction value (840) after performing the acquisition process; and performing a tracking process (860) to maintain accuracy in the phase estimate, after adjusting the phase estimate.

  • Publication number: 20070014331
Abstract: An ultra-wideband communications network and methods for communication are provided. In one embodiment of the present invention, a method of encoding data is provided. Generally, the method comprises the steps of calculating a data transformation, encoding a first portion of the data transform with a first forward error correction code at a first encoding rate, and encoding a second portion of the data transform with a second forward error correction code at a second encoding rate. This Abstract is provided for the sole purpose of complying with the Abstract requirement rules that allow a reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the disclosure contained herein. This Abstract is submitted with the explicit understanding that it will not be used to interpret or to limit the scope or the meaning of the claims.

  • Publication number: 20060150056
Abstract: A method (700) and apparatus (600) are described for performing decision voting in connection with a parallel ACS unit (110) and track buffer (112) in an Ultrawide Bandwidth (UWB) receiver having a parallel DECODER for decoding a message sequence encoded according to a convolutional code. Outputs from the track buffer can be input to a voting unit (620) where a voting scheme can be applied and a decision rendered as to the originally transmitted message sequence.

  • Publication number: 20060150058
Abstract: A method (700) and apparatus (600) are described for performing 2M-1 parallel ACS operations to generate 2M path metric outputs and buffering the 2M path metric outputs in connection with a track buffer (112) in an Ultrawide Bandwidth (UWB) receiver for decoding a message sequence encoded according to a convolutional code. Contents of the track buffer are updated in accordance with Register Exchange and outputs from the track buffer can further be input to a voting unit (114) where a voting scheme can be applied and a decision rendered as to the originally transmitted message sequence.
