  • Patent number: 11775561
Abstract: Systems and methods provide custom synchronization procedures in file synchronization. A primary agent is used to monitor for changes, create synchronization plans to synchronized changes, and execute the synchronization plan. The primary agent, however, interacts with one or more separate custom agents to customize the synchronization plans. One exemplary technique involves monitoring for local changes to a first copy of a file tree and updates from another computing device regarding remote changes to a second copy of the file tree. When a change to either copy is identified, a synchronization plan for the change is created based on a default synchronization procedure. The synchronization plan is sent to a custom agent for customization. The custom agent creates the custom synchronization plan by modifying the synchronization plan and sends the custom synchronization plan to the primary agent. The custom synchronization plan is then executed by the primary agent.

  • Publication number: 20230135833
Abstract: A method for planning a subject well includes receiving a well profile for the subject well, the well profile comprising a plurality of sets of attributes, each corresponding to one of a plurality of depths of the subject well; categorizing each of the sets of attributes as being in a first zone or in a second zone to generate a pivoted well profile, where the pivoted well profile includes a number of the sets of attributes in the first zone and a number of the sets of attributes in the second zone; comparing the pivoted well profile of the subject well to a library of well profiles; identifying, based on the comparison, an analog well from the library, where a difference between the analog well profile and the pivoted well profile is less than a threshold; and providing an indication of the identified analog well.

  • Patent number: 10168073
Abstract: A system for shifting energy demand from on-peak time windows to off-peak time windows by using hot water heater load shifting, while providing the end user with the level of service (i.e., availability of hot water) according to the user's customary use described by service quality criteria. The shift is accomplished by a controller located at the end user establishment and in communication with a central control server. The controller monitors local water heater temperature and controls heating elements in accordance with a demand shift process commanded by the central control server. The controller may determine usage and remaining capacity for reporting back to the central control server. A volumetric capacity and usage determination is disclosed. The control server may select water heaters according to use and/or capacity. Further embodiments may regulate load dependent properties of the power including voltage, phase and/or frequency.

  • Patent number: 9926900
Abstract: A shield and clip assembly is provided for use with a joint that connects the ends of pipes conveying a fluid under pressure. The joint includes a primary retention feature for retaining the connected pipe ends. The shield and clip assembly includes a cover configured to encapsulate the joint and the ends of the pipes sufficiently to ensure that the connected ends will not fully disengage from the joint and to ensure that leakage or spray, if any, of the fluid being conveyed from a leaking joint will be attenuated or shielded. The joint may be an in-line quick connector joint.

  • Publication number: 20170211715
Abstract: A fluid bypass valve includes a valve member disposed within a valve chamber. The valve member closes fluid communication between a first port and a second port disposed in a first position, and connects the first port and the second port in fluid communication when disposed in a second position. The valve member includes a temperature based actuating mechanism that positions the valve member in the first position when a temperature of a fluid is equal to or less than a pre-defined temperature, and positions the valve member in the second position when the temperature of the fluid is greater than the pre-defined temperature. A temporary spacer is disposed within the valve chamber, and positions the valve member in the second position. The temporary spacer includes a melting temperature approximately equal to the pre-defined temperature at which the valve member moves between the first position and the second position.

  • Patent number: 9522444
Abstract: A fan shroud and seal ring are assembled together to allow a condenser, radiator, and fan module (CRFM) to be vertically loaded into an engine compartment of a vehicle to be mounted to the vehicle chassis and engine with a fan stator. The fan shroud has a plurality of first attachment components, and the seal ring has a plurality of second attachment components, each of which corresponds to a first attachment component. Each first attachment component engages with a corresponding second attachment component to secure the seal ring to the fan shroud, such that the seal ring is positioned around at least a portion of the fan stator after the CRFM has been mounted and the assembly is in its final configuration.

  • Patent number: 9360140
Abstract: A sealing device is insertable into a port having an internal wall. The device includes a seal member and a ring member operatively connected to each other. The seal member includes an inner seal surface defining a seal opening. The ring member includes an inner ring surface defining a ring opening. The seal opening and the ring opening share a common central axis. The seal member defines a first rib extending circumferentially around the seal opening, the first rib being raised a first height relative to the inner seal surface at the seal opening. The first rib is configured to be deformable in response to a compression force from the internal wall of the port when the seal member is inserted into the port. The seal member may define a second rib axially spaced from the first rib.
