  • Publication number: 20250049923
Abstract: There is provided inter alia a storage stable liquid composition concentrate comprising bendamustine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a liquid solvent in which said bendamustine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is dissolved; wherein said composition comprises: (i) a mixture of two or more different polyethylene glycol (PEG) polymers, wherein each polyethylene glycol has an average molecular weight in the range 150-650 Da; and (ii) 5-20% (v/v) of water.

  • Patent number: 9145448
Abstract: The invention provides a method for the isolation of haptoglobin from a sample comprising Cohn fraction V, wherein said method comprises anion exchange chromatography of said sample. The product may be further purified and/or subjected to one or more virus inactivation or reduction steps. The isolated haptoglobin may then be formulated for pharmaceutical use.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 19, 2005
Date of Patent: September 29, 2015
    Assignee: BIO PRODUCTS LABORATORY LIMITED
Inventors: Joan Dalton, Adrian Podmore, Peter Kumpalume
  • Patent number: 8580931
Abstract: The invention relates to methods for the isolation of AAT from solutions containing albumin and AAT using at least two separate metal chelate chromatography steps. The product may be further purified and/or subjected to one or more virus inactivation or reduction steps. The isolated AAT may then be formulated for pharmaceutical use.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 29, 2006
Date of Patent: November 12, 2013
    Assignee: Bio Products Laboratory Limited
Inventors: Peter Kumpalume, Adrian Podmore, Joan Dalton
  • Publication number: 20110021418
Abstract: Haptoglobin (Hp) removes cell-free Hemoglobin (Hb), with different physiological effects depending on the particular Hp polymer. We propose that material enriched for alpha 1 chain Hp polymeric forms, such as those made from Cohn fraction V precipitate, will be more suitable for the treatment of certain diseases benefiting from both an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory component, such as for hemolytic disease. Material enriched for alpha-2 chain Hp polymeric forms, made for example from Cohn fraction IV precipitate, will be more suitable for treatment of diseases where an angiogenic, and/or inflammatory affect, and/or limited extravasation is desirable.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 20, 2010
    Publication date: January 27, 2011
