  • Patent number: 11469791
Abstract: A cascade comprising multiple filters according to an embodiment comprises a filter, which includes a splitter configured to split an analog radio-frequency input signal into at least a first signal and a second signal, a first signal path configured to generate, based on the first signal, a time-delayed signal delayed by a predetermined delay time in the time domain, a second signal path configured to generate, based on the second signal, a phase-shifted signal shifted by a controllable predetermined phase shift in the phase domain, and a coupler configured to generate an output signal based on the time-delayed signal and the phase-shifted signal. Using an embodiment may improve a trade-off between frequency-related flexibility and frequency agility of a receiver infrastructure.

  • Patent number: 11444651
Abstract: A transceiver for a vehicle for communication in a mobile radio system includes one or more interfaces for a plurality of antennas, and a transceiving device configured to communicate via the one or more interfaces and via at least a part of the plurality of antennas in the mobile radio system. The transceiver also includes a control device configured to control the transceiving device and the one or more interfaces, where the control device determines, via a first cluster of the plurality of antennas, information about a radio channel between the first cluster of antennas and a base station of the mobile radio system, and communicates via a second cluster of the plurality of antennas with the base station of the mobile radio system.

  • Patent number: 11153932
Abstract: A communication device for communication in one or more mobile communication systems has a selection device for coupling one or more mobile radio antennas to one or more signal paths on the basis of a selection signal. The communication device also has a transceiver module, which is designed to generate the selection signal and to communicate in the one or more mobile communication systems by way of the coupled mobile radio antennas. The transceiver module is designed to select, on the basis of two or more user identifications, different mobile radio antennas for communication in the one or more mobile communication systems by way of the selection signal. The transceiver module is designed to take isolation and/or correlation between the mobile radio antennas into account in the selection.

  • Patent number: 10839688
Abstract: The invention relates to a radio communication device for a vehicle, said device having at least one antenna unit, the emission of which can be controlled in one or more directions, and having a control unit coupled to the at least one antenna unit, for controlling the latter. The control unit is coupled to a control application and configured to control the at least one antenna unit in an application-controlled geo-beamforming operating mode, such that the emission of the at least one antenna unit is restricted to the course of the road in the current location of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10645708
Abstract: Transmission channels are selected in a multiantenna network radio connection in which data are transmitted using radio signals between a radio base station and a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal has at least one decoder, by means of which radio signals received by at least one of the terminal antennas can be decoded in order to obtain the data. By means of the transmission channel selection, it is decided which transmission path and/or which communication technology is to be used for the transmission of the data between the radio base station and the mobile terminal.

  • Patent number: 10476574
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a wireless communication interface arranged in a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, an apparatus for operating a wireless communication interface and a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, having an apparatus for operating a wireless communication interface and a control device. According to the invention, at least one uplink user data signal is taken as a basis for determining a channel quality indicator for the user data signal, so that channel quality determination is performable in the application layer independently of determination methods for the channel quality based on pilot, control or protocol signals.
