Abstract: A method for operating a booking system of a charging station for an electric vehicle. In the method of the invention, first a blocking message for a first charging station is received from a user. Subsequently, a current distance between the user and the first charging station, a current charging state of the first charging station, and a current booking entry of the first charging station are determined. In the method of the invention, further the blocking message is discarded or further processed depending on the determined distance, the determined charging state, and the determined booking entry. A further aspect of the present invention relates to a network server for carrying out the method.
