  • Publication number: 20250334438
Abstract: An antenna apparatus can include a coaxial cable with one end of the coaxial cable forming a remote antenna and the other end of the coaxial cable comprising a local coupler, wherein both ends of the coaxial cable are over-molded protection in a water meter installation. The local coupler can snap-on to a communications module and is operable across wideband RF frequencies ranging from, for example, 790 MHz to 1900 MHz. The antenna apparatus may also be implemented with an alternative RF coupler design, with two metal planes secured by an IP68 plastic housing with the provision of the coaxial cable to interface with a coupler and the remote antenna. The coupler can operate with low losses of less than, for example, 10 dB. In addition, the remote antenna can be installed on a water pit lid and in some cases, the coaxial cable itself can act as a remote antenna.

  • Publication number: 20210302214
Abstract: A positive displacement fluid flow meter that may have a rotary piston that rotates inside a chamber as a fluid flows through it. The rotating piston may create fixed volume discrete parcels from the passing fluid. The piston may be buoyant relative to the fluid flowing through the meter. Buoyancy of the piston may reduce friction and noise in the meter to result in a more accurate fluid flow measuring meter.

  • Patent number: 10554465
Abstract: A method and system for achieving a link budget improvement in a diverse OFDM radio system by addressing the timing misalignment issue that can occur due to the differences in propagation time in signals between mobile stations and Radio Access Nodes. Timing misalignment is shared or split between the primary path to a primary Radio Access Node and a diverse path to a diverse Radio Access Node. The relative timing offsets between mobile stations are adjusted, the mobile stations are grouped into zones using a variety of different grouping techniques, and the transmission for each mobile station is scheduled, using one or more of a variety of scheduling techniques.
