  • Publication number: 20240428256
Abstract: A system and method for providing a global transaction identifier. When a financial services transaction occurs, a globally unique identifier is generated that fits into a truncated description field of a financial services processor provider's statement. Illustratively, this globally unique identifier may take the case of a shortened uniform resource locator (URL) that points to a data structure containing full context information. When a user, accountant, auditor, etc. desires to obtain access to the full context information, they may access the shortened URL, which returns the context information.
