  • Patent number: 11084477
Abstract: A motor vehicle includes at least one hydraulically actuatable wheel braking device and at least one electric drive motor. A method for operating the vehicle includes monitoring a driver behavior upon an emergency braking operation, and activating the hydraulic wheel braking device for generating a hydraulic emergency braking torque when an emergency braking operation is detected. When the emergency braking torque is detected, the drive motor is also operated as a generator in order to generate an additional electrical emergency braking torque.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 19, 2017
Date of Patent: August 10, 2021
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
Inventors: Adrian Thomys, Martin Knopp, Tobias Hoffmann

  • Patent number: 9796387
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a vehicle with a drive device (20) which has at least one internal combustion engine (21) as a drive machine, wherein a drive torque requested by a driver of the vehicle (1) is implemented by operating at least the internal combustion engine (21) on a roadway (2), comprising the following steps: a) Monitoring the roadway (2) for road users (3) travelling ahead, by means of a surroundings sensor system (5), b) Monitoring a driver of the vehicle (1) by means of a state sensor system (8) with respect to his request to carry out an overtaking process in order to overtake a detected road user (3) travelling ahead, and if a request to carry out an overtaking process has been detected, c) Actuating the drive device (20) to prepare the overtaking process in such a way that before the overtaking process is carried out a torque reserve of the internal combustion engine (21) is built up.

  • Patent number: 8688348
Abstract: In a method for setting a wheel torque in a vehicle, a setpoint value for a slip-adhesion coefficient gradient for one wheel of one vehicle axle is ascertained, and the wheel torque is set in such a way that the actual value of the gradient is approximated to the setpoint value.

  • Publication number: 20120179333
Abstract: In a method for influencing the steering torque in a vehicle-steering system, in the event that the coefficient of friction between at least one vehicle wheel and the road surface undershoots a limit value, the torque generated in a device for steering-force assistance is varied in such a way that a steering motion in at least one steering direction is opposed by increased resistance.
