Abstract: A system and method for applying a skin to a mobile device is described. The mobile device includes a camera and a rear screen. The method analyzes an image captured by the camera to detect an identifier and associates the identifier with a product or a vendor. A skin representing the product or vendor is applied to the rear screen of the mobile device and posted to a social networking website, such that the user may express their personal sense of affinity toward a product, an artist, or an organization.
