  • Publication number: 20230256145
Abstract: A system for hands-free nursing and breast pumping includes a breast compression device with a plurality of thermoformed fluid bladders designed to fit adjustably against each breast and inflate and deflate with minimal power requirements. The compression device and its controller fit inside of a nursing garment designed to receive the device and controller for optimal compression. The nursing garment and the compression device have openings over the nipples so that a breast pump flange can be inserted through them and used in a typical manner for the extraction of breast milk, thus increasing the amount of milk expressed.

  • Publication number: 20230225674
Abstract: A system for detecting changes in breast comprises a garment and a user device. The garment comprises a plurality of layers of fabric, one or more fabric-based sensors configured to detect the changes to at least one layer of fabric, a plurality of conductive nodes electrically coupled to one or more locations on a fabric-based sensor among the one or more fabric-based sensors, and a processor electrically connected to the plurality of nodes. The changes in the fabric-based sensor is detected by measuring signals between at least two nodes among the plurality of nodes. The processor is configured to obtain data measured from the at least two nodes among the plurality of nodes and transmit the data to the user device. The user device is configured to receive data from the processor and process the data.

  • Publication number: 20180126052
Abstract: A system for hands-free nursing and breast pumping includes a breast compression system that uses moldable chambers filled with air inside the cups of a nursing bra or attached to the flange of a breast pump to apply pressure and massage patterns to a breast while using a breast pump. This compression or pressure is radially applied on the surface of the breast, and its rhythm and strength may be adjusted by the user through the use of a controller in order to mimic the best practices of manual compression. These bra cups with the compression device have openings over the nipples so that a breast pump flange can be inserted through them and used in a typical manner for the extraction of breast milk, thus increasing the amount of milk expressed.
