  • Patent number: 10533397
Abstract: A ball drop two stage valve includes a tubular having a body defined by an outer surface and an inner surface that defines a fluid flow path. A stimulation port is formed in the body. The stimulation port extends through the body. At least one flow port is formed in the body longitudinally spaced from the stimulation port. The at least one flow port extends through the body. A first sleeve is slidingly positioned along the fluid flow path in the body. The first sleeve includes a first ball seat and is selectively positionable to selectively block flow through the stimulation port. A second sleeve is slidingly positioned along the fluid flow path in the body. The second sleeve includes a second ball seat and is selectively positionable to selectively block flow through the flow port and the stimulation port.

  • Patent number: 10392908
Abstract: A method of producing hydrocarbon from a subterranean formation comprises: disposing an article in a well penetrating a subterranean formation, the article having a surface coated with a hierarchical superhydrophobic coating or the article being a stand-alone hierarchical superhydrophobic membrane; contacting the article with a flow of a water-based fluid and an oil-based fluid; selectively impeding the flow of the water-based fluid; and allowing the production of the oil-based fluid.

  • Patent number: 10196881
Abstract: A subterranean screen assembly comprises a base pipe with end connections to attach to a pipe string and a portion that is perforated or slotted; and a coated screen radially outwardly disposed of the base pipe. The coated screen comprises a screen substrate and a coating disposed on a surface of the screen substrate; the coating comprising an amorphous diamond like carbon doped with about 10 to about 30 atomic percent of silicon, about 10 to about 20 atomic percent of oxygen, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing dopants, or a polymer comprising a fluoropolymer, a silicone, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing.

  • Publication number: 20170218721
Abstract: A downhole secondary flow path member includes a tubular having a first end portion, a second end portion, and an intermediate portion having a flow passage extending therebetween. The tubular includes a first opening arranged adjacent the first end portion and a second opening arranged adjacent the second end portion. A valve assembly is provided on the tubular at the first opening. The valve assembly includes a valve member. A flow tube runs along at least a portion of the tubular. The flow tube has a dissolvable end section mechanically linked to the valve assembly. The dissolvable end segment selectively shields the valve member from exposure to downhole fluids. The valve member changes from an open position to a closed position following dissolution of the dissolvable end segment.
