Abstract: A method and system is provided for facilitating the management of computing systems through data visualizations to enhance energy efficiency and provide energy security optimization. The method and system provide for the rendering of a plurality of individual and composite widgets, which incorporate data relating to the monitored function and condition of a computing system as a whole as well as to its underlying components and supporting infrastructure. The method and system produce graphical representations that facilitate optimized manual and automated decision making concerning the operation of the computing system.
