  • Publication number: 20200194943
Abstract: The present invention is a connector for connecting an electrical cable having cladding to an aperture in an electrical panel. The assembled connector has a spring, a shell, and a insulator along a longitudinal axis. The spring has a base from which two insertion tabs extend coaxial with the axis and the shell has two side walls to prevent over-insertion of the cladding into the connector. The insertion tabs of the spring have hook latches extending past the insulator that lock the connector in the panel, and the insulator has pressure buttons for flexing the insertion tabs during insertion and removal of the connector to the electrical panel.

  • Patent number: 10658801
Abstract: The present invention is a connector for connecting an electrical cable having cladding to an aperture in an electrical panel. The assembled connector has a spring, a shell, and a insulator along a longitudinal axis. The spring has a base from which two insertion tabs extend coaxial with the axis and two clad blocking tabs extending perpendicular from the two insertion tabs to prevent over-insertion of the cladding into the connector. The insertion tabs of the spring have hook latches extending past the insulator that lock the connector in the panel, and the base of the spring has a hole to receive the cable where clamping tabs clampably lock the cable in the connector.

  • Patent number: 10505357
Abstract: The present invention is a connector for connecting two electrical cables having cladding to an aperture in an electrical panel. The assembled connector has a two piece spring, a shell, and a insulator along a longitudinal axis. Each spring has a base from which an insertion tab extends coaxial with the axis and the insulator has two curved portions to prevent over-insertion of the cladding into the connector. The insertion tabs of the spring have hook latches and the insulator has a wall to prevent the electrical cables from interfering with the hook latches. The insulator also has a pressure prong for applying a radial grounding force to the connector.

  • Publication number: 20180337497
Abstract: The present invention is a connector for connecting an electrical cable to an aperture in an electrical panel. The assembled connector has a spring ring, a shell, and a insulator along a longitudinal axis. The spring ring has a base from which two insertion tabs extend coaxial with the axis. The insulator has a joining wall and a springing feature. The shell has a through opening coaxial with the axis. The insertion tabs retain the spring ring in the shell's through opening, and the springing feature retains the insulator in the shell's through opening. The insertion tabs of the spring ring have hook latches extending past the insulator that lock the connector in the panel. And the base of the spring ring has a hole to receive the cable where first and second clamping tabs clampably lock the cable in the connector.

  • Patent number: 8791377
Abstract: A fitting that anchors electrical wiring to a junction box or electrical panel includes gripping members which can releasably hold electrical wiring, in or out of armored conduit, and interference members which allow the fitting to be inserted through knock out apertures and, when in place, extend to prevent withdrawal from the aperture. Optionally a rotatable collar actuates the mechanisms and abuts the wall of the box or panel, eliminating any lateral movement when the interference members are engaged.

  • Patent number: 8262043
Abstract: A universal metal stud clip is a support mechanism for securing one or more electrical boxes or other construction components to metal construction elements such as metal studs. The opposed spring arm design permits the clip to be oriented in any useful way and frictionally secured to metal studs of varying dimensions. Metal stud clips include one or more pair of resilient arms to frictionally engage metal studs. Using two or more pair of resilient arms provides a very stable attachment to the metal stud.

  • Publication number: 20100288554
Abstract: The present invention is a set of universal support brackets that attach to the side surface of an electrical box and support the box against the inside surface of the opposing wall boards. Moreover, the invention adapts to most electrical steel boxes with any depths, and provides support in hollow wall structures of different depths. After attachment to the electrical junction box, the universal support bracket extends against the back wall surface to prevent the box from being pushed into the hollow space between wall boards; effectively securing the box in place. The brackets are adjustable, and consist of either two or three components, incorporating a ratchet or locking mechanism. The bracket provides small intervals to effectively accommodate the adjustment of numerous sizes of electrical outlet boxes with a variety of hollow wall depths. Mounting and adjustment of the bracket takes only a few seconds.
