  • Publication number: 20240068690
Abstract: A system and method for intelligent operation and control of ductless HVAC devices in a manner similar to existing intelligent operation and control of central HVAC systems. In an embodiment, the system and method comprise using a smart thermostat to separately monitor the room temperature of a room in which a ductless HVAC device is installed, wherein the smart thermostat overrides the standard operation of the HVAC device by setting and re-setting the target temperature of the ductless HVAC device to force it to operate according to settings and algorithms of the smart thermostat which mimic the smart controls available on central HVAC systems.

  • Publication number: 20210069371
Abstract: Systems and methods for dispensing a liquid fragrance into the air. The system includes a liquid fragrance dispenser. The liquid fragrance dispenser includes a dispenser controller for controlling operation of an atomizer. The dispenser controller, via the sensor subsystem, is configured to detect a value of an external variable of an environment of the liquid fragrance dispensing system. In response to detection of the value of the external variable, the dispenser controller variably controls an output of the liquid fragrance dispenser, for example, the duration of operation of the atomizer, the atomization output of the atomizer, or a user output interface. The system is configured to variably control the output of the dispenser, based on at least one or more of, a value of a detected external variable of the system, data representative of a liquid fragrance cartridge, and the previous atomization output of the atomizer, to achieve a target environmental fragrance condition.

  • Patent number: 6978133
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing wireless intelligent network services to mobile stations currently being served by a mobile switching center (S-MSC) that is not wireless intelligent network capable. The call is routed through a wireless intelligent network capable MSC (O-MSC). When the O-MSC receives the call, it requests instructions from a service control point (SCP) which provides a list of triggers for call states requiring further SCP instructions. Advantageously, this arrangement avoids the use of a double connection, using a loop-around trunk, in the O-MSC, as is required in the prior art.
