  • Patent number: 7361082
Abstract: A system and method for ventilating a room in which the system has at least one air supply unit and one air exhaust unit. The air inlet unit has a guiding slot diffuser for guiding an airstream in a certain direction, such that a patient, lying down in a bed on his back, receives the airstream frontally. The exhaust unit is arranged near the floor and near a head end of the bed such that air is arranged to leave the room after having ventilated the patient. The air supply unit is also provided with a booster fan arranged in air communication with the guiding slot diffuser such that fresh air can be forced through the diffuser by the aid of the booster fan forming a first an airstream. The first airstream leaves the diffuser bringing with it a larger mass of fresh air leaving the air supply unit via perforated sheets, forming the airstream devised to cool the patient.

  • Patent number: 6089518
Abstract: Supportive structure to be attached to a ceiling of a hospital room for supporting hospital equipment. The supporting structure comprises beams attached to the ceiling and forming a rectangular space. Inside the space, there are non-interchangeable gas connectors attached to a gas supply of the hospital and a gas-tight electric box comprising terminals connected to the electric supply of the hospital. The equipment is mounted on support plates, which in turn are supported by support profiles attached to beams. The equipment is connected to the non-interchangeable gas connectors inside the space. Gas-tight hoses are provided between the electric box and the equipment for enclosing the electric wires between the terminals of the electric box and the equipment. In this way separate gas-tight passages are provided for the electric wires, avoiding hazard risks.
