    Abstract: An apparatus capable of forming flexible sheet material such as newspaper rolls suitable for combustion in a fireplace or the like is disclosed. The apparatus includes a deflectable table and an idler bar, both adapted for bearing against the roll as it is formed, to facilitate feeding the sheet to form the roll and to smooth and compact the roll, a rotating shaft about which the roll is formed, and a frame to secure the shaft, table and idler arm.
