  • Patent number: 9805403
Abstract: Customers seeking to acquire new products or services may need to be authorized for the new products or services. The authorization can depend on customer and product information, as well as on different authorization conditions such as qualification, re-qualification, and eligibility conditions. To efficiently authorize a customer for products or services under different authorization conditions, a table stores authorization rules including flags associating the rules with particular authorization conditions. Hence, among the rules that pertain to authorizing the customer for a product or service, one subset of rules can be associated with one authorization condition while a different subset is associated with another authorization condition. The customer is selectively determined to be authorized for the product or service under an authorization condition when the product or service information and/or the customer information satisfy all of the rules associated with the selected authorization condition.

  • Patent number: 9576412
Abstract: A computing system contains a processor that is configured to receive, with the user interface, a registered access code and access permissions from a remote user of a property having a property location. The registered access code may be configured to provide access to the property. The access permissions may include a predefined access period that the access code is valid to provide access to the property. The processor may further be configured to receive a provided access code of a local user of the property in response to a user location of the local user being near the property location, match the provided access code with the registered access code, and grant or deny access to the property based in part on the provided access code matching the registered access code and being received within the predefined access period.

  • Patent number: 9418136
Abstract: A media store server offers access to multimedia contents available from servers of one or more vendors. The media store server provides customers' digital information devices with catalog of content offered through the media store server. To provide a unified catalog for the store, the media store server retrieves a first descriptive text for a multimedia content in a catalog of vendor's server. The first descriptive text is converted into a second descriptive text representing the multimedia content, which is in a standardized format required for the media store server catalog. The second descriptive text for the multimedia content is compared with the descriptive texts of multimedia contents in the media store server catalog. The first descriptive text for the vendor's multimedia content is stored in the catalog of the media store server, if the second descriptive text for the multimedia content matches with any of the descriptive texts of multimedia contents in the catalog of the media store server.

  • Patent number: 9002849
Abstract: A media store server provides customers' digital information devices with a catalog of multimedia content available from servers of multiple vendors. To provide a unified catalog for the store, the multimedia contents are grouped according to descriptive texts. A descriptive text for a multimedia content item or file is obtained from a vendor's catalog, and the descriptive text is standardized to generate a token for that particular multimedia content item. The multimedia content is classified in an existing catalog group corresponding to an already existent token, if the generated token matches an existent token in the catalog of the media store server. A new group for multimedia content is generated and the particular multimedia content is assigned to the new group, if the generated token does not yet exist in the catalog of the multimedia store server.
