  • Publication number: 20230422457
Abstract: A machine that is used to automate the assembly of a circuit board assembly is provided. The machine includes a rotating indexer, at least one anvil holder, a punch, and an activation switch. The at least one anvil holder is carried by the rotating indexer and is configured to receive a connector pin. The anvil holder is rotatable relative to the punch, such that the at least one anvil holder may be aligned with the punch. A circuit board may be located about the connector pin, after which the activation switch may be activated to cause movement of the punch towards the anvil holder. When this occurs, the connector pin is compressed, which causes the connector pin to be secured to the circuit board. More specifically, a top section of the connector pin is compressed to form a top lip, where the circuit board is located between the top lip and a shoulder of the connector pin.

  • Publication number: 20120178837
Abstract: The present invention relates to a branched polyethylene terephthalate-co-isophthalate for use in the manufacture of foamed articles. The branched polyethylene terephthalate-co-isophthalate can be characterized by a composition comprising i) a polyethylene terephthalate-co-isophthalate comprising from about 5 to about 15 weight % of an isophthalic acid, and ii) a branching agent comonomer, wherein the branching agent comonomer is a polyhydric alcohol having functionality of 3 or more and the polyhydric alcohol is present in an amount of from 0.005 to about 0.01 equivalents per mole of total diacids. Other embodiments of the present invention include foamed articles produced from these compositions and processes to produce these compositions and the foamed articles.

  • Publication number: 20080248285
Abstract: The present invention relates to thermoplastic compositions having; high dimensional stability at high temperatures. In particular it is directed to polyester compositions containing mica for use in dual-ovenable trays and clear lids for hot food containers. According to one embodiment, the present invention is directed to a polyester composition comprising a polyester containing greater than about 2 to less than about 10 weight % of a mica filler. According to another embodiment of the present invention the mica containing polyester is prepared by the addition of the mica during polymerization, using a buffer to minimize diethylene glycol formation. According to another embodiment of the present invention, the polyester composition containing greater than 2 to less than 10 weight % mica also contains an additive package of impact modifier, nucleating agent and pigment in a concentration from about 5 weight % to 20 weight of the total composition.

  • Patent number: 6284864
Abstract: The invention provides a method of making a copolyester and a resulting copolyester fiber that has increased dyeability and dye retention properties while maintaining good physical properties for textile applications. The fiber may be formed from a mixture comprising terephthalic acid and its ester equivalent in combination with ethylene glycol, and to which is added about 2-4 mole percent of at least two dicarboxylic acids, or their anhydride or ester equivalents excluding terephthalic acid and its ester equivalent, and between about 100 to 700 ppm pentaerytoritol, both being based on the amount of the terephthalic acid and its ester equivalent The dicarboxylic acids and pentaerytliritol may be added before esterification, or after esterification and before polycondensation.
