    Abstract: The present invention relates to absorbent articles, such as diapers and sanitary napkins, and topsheets useful for such articles. More specifically, the invention relates to an absorbent article (20) comprising: a liquid impervious backsheet (26); a liquid pervious topsheet (24) joined to said backsheet (26), said topsheet (24) having an inner surface oriented toward an interior of said article (20) and an outer surface oriented toward the skin of a wearer when said article is being worn, wherein at least a portion of said topsheet outer surface comprises a lotion an absorbent core (28) positioned between said topsheet (24) and said backsheet (26); wherein the lotion is applied to the liquid pervious topsheet (24) in the form of a pattern of a plurality of stripes (70), that are separated by a plurality of areas having no lotion; and the pattern of a plurality of stripes (70) is a discontinuous pattern.

    Abstract: An easy-open flexible bag filled with compressed flexible articles. The bag has a substantially rectangular form after filling with the compressed flexible articles. The rectangular form comprises a pair of opposed front panels interconnected to a pair of opposed side panels which are oriented substantially perpendicular to the direction of compression of the flexible articles. A bottom panel is connected to the lowermost edges of the front panels and the side panels and a top panel is connected to the uppermost edges of the front panels and the side panels. The interconnected front panels and side panels are subject to tension induced by the compressed flexible articles. The flexible bag further includes an easy-opening device provided on one of the tensioned side panels of the flexible bag for providing an opening in a predetermined portion of the tensioned side panel without releasing the tension in the remainder of the side panel.
