  • Publication number: 20070028993
Abstract: An elastic woven tape is disclosed as being composed of at least two kinds of tape sections, each of which having a respectively different elongation and/or modulus, and formed by alternating and continuous integration of these two kinds of tape sections by weaving. The weaving method of the said elastic woven tape includes controlling the changes in the degrees of elasticity provided by elastic threads for the woven tape in mechanized weaving through the control of the feeding speeds of the elastic threads. The advantageous effects of this invention lie in the production of a woven tape composed of tape sections respectively with larger elongation but smaller modulus and with smaller elongation but larger modulus by means of their alternating and continuous integration by weaving, which simplifies the post-weaving operation and improves production efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20060108386
Abstract: A woven tape is disclosed as including an integrally woven body, along a warp-wise direction of which being provided with alternating closed length sections closed on both lateral sides and open length sections with at least one opening on a lateral side. A shoulder strap incorporating such a woven tape is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050239360
Abstract: An elastic tape is disclosed as including a warp yarn and a weft yarn, in which the warp yarn includes an elastomeric core yarn wound around by a thermo-fusible yarn which is adapted to melt in heat and bonded with the adjacent yarn(s). There is also disclosed a method of forming an elastic tape, including the steps of (a) winding a thermo-fusible yarn around an elastomeric core yarn to form a first yarn; (b) weaving or knitting the first yarn and at least a weft yarn integrally with one another, with the first yarn as a warp yarn; and (c) heat treating the yarns to melt the thermo-fusible yarn to integrally bond with the adjacent yarn(s).

  • Publication number: 20050061386
Abstract: A woven tape for use as a trimming of a brassiere is disclosed as including a body portion provided with a number of openings along its warpwise centerline. An advantage in the use of a woven tape according to this invention as a trimming of a brassiere is that its position relative to the bra body can be adjustable, thus allowing choices to a user, and offering both enhanced convenience and aesthetic appearance.
