    Abstract: A control system for controlling movement of a vehicle, is disclosed. The control system is configured to construct a graph having multiple nodes defining states of the vehicle. The multiple nodes comprise an initial node defining initial state and a target node defining target state. Each pair of nodes is connected by an edge defined by collision-free motion primitives where the nodes comprise motion cusps. Multiple nodes connected through edges form a first path. A first number of motion cusps in the first path is determined and the graph is expanded to add new nodes until a termination condition is met on determining that the first number of motion cusps is above a threshold. The expansion of the graph is subjected to a constraint associated with a total number of motion cusps. Further a second path is determined having lesser motion cusps than the first path.

    Abstract: A support brace having two complementary sections that are matingly received in the opposite sides of the opening of a window frame to be installed in a poured concrete wall. The two complementary brace sections are secured together to form a bracing structure that is matingly received in the interior opening of a window frame. The width of the support brace is adjustable at a number of selected widths to accommodate window frames of selected widths. Both the inside section of the brace and the outside section of the brace have slotted plates that overlap each other so they can be pinned together to hold the two sections of the support brace at a predetermined and adjustable distance apart corresponding to the width of the window frame being installed. The support brace has both tie slots bars for receiving concrete form ties used with metal forms, and fastener brackets for attachments to wooden forms by nails and screws.

    Abstract: The present invention may provide a computer system including a plurality of tiles divided into multiple virtual domains. Each tile may include a router to communicate with others of said tiles, a private cache to store data, and a spill table to record pointers for data evicted from the private cache to a remote host, wherein the remote host and the respective tile are provided in the same virtual domain. The spill tables may allow for faster retrieval of previously evicted data because the home registry does not need to be referenced if requested data is listed in the spill table. Therefore, embodiments of the present invention may provide a distance-aware cache collaboration architecture without incurring extraneous overhead expenses.

    Abstract: An example information system contains records of landmarks. The system obtains records of taxi trips between the landmarks and from the taxi trip information derives statistical relationships between the landmarks. A user can provide context information, such as an address or a type of activity. The user can then search the system for landmarks of interest to the user. The system retrieves and presents the user with a set of landmarks which match the user's query based in part on the statistical relationships.
