Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may transmit an UL-WUS to a network entity based on a predefined uplink wakeup signal (UL-WUS) parameter and one or more additional UL WUS parameters. The UE may obtain the at least one predefined UL-WUS parameter from a pre-configuration, signaling from a network entity, or both. The UE may receive the additional UL-WUS parameters via broadcast signaling from a network entity. The broadcast signaling may include a master information block (MIB), and may indicate the additional UL-WUS parameters via a set of bits. The UE may also receive an indication of a modification scheme associated with content changes of the broadcast signaling, an indication of a content change in the broadcast signaling, or both. The UE may process one or more subsequent broadcast signals based on the indication of the change, the indicated modification scheme, or both.

  • Publication number: 20250096878
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may receive, via a set of reception antenna groups having a first antenna spacing that is independent from a distance between the network node and a transmitting device, signals associated with a spatially multiplexed communication having a first number of multiple layers per polarization. The network node may forward, via a set of transmission antenna groups having a second antenna spacing that is independent from a distance between the relay and a receiving device, the signals associated with the spatially multiplexed communication having a second number of multiple layers per polarization. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20250062793
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques may enable transmitting and receiving devices to increase an effective aperture size of transmitting and receiving antenna arrays, which may increase an achievable rank of spatially multiplexed communications. For example, one or both of the transmitting device and the receiving device may use a reflective component to reflect signals transmitted between the devices, which may allow for larger effective aperture sizes without increasing a physical distance between antenna elements. In some examples, the reflective component may be a static concave mirror associated with a predetermined weight vector and focal point. In some examples, the concave mirror may be a reflective intelligent surface (RIS) of reflective elements with reflective properties which may be dynamically adjusted to various weight vectors. An orientation of the RIS may be adjusted to steer a beam in various directions in space.

  • Publication number: 20240380436
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) may select a weight vector, from a plurality of stored weight vectors, for enabling a spatially multiplexed communication, between a transmitter and a receiver, that includes two or more layers for each polarization of a plurality of polarizations for the spatially multiplexed communication. The RIS may receive the spatially multiplexed communication from the transmitter. The RIS may transmit the spatially multiplexed communication to the receiver in accordance with the weight vector. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20240192355
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for radar target tracking based on return signal strength. A wireless device, such as a radar device, may measure a received signal strength of a detected signal. The received signal strength may be associated with at least one bin of a radar image. The wireless device may compare the received signal strength to a filtered signal strength. The filtered signal strength may be associated with a threshold difference in signal strength from the filtered signal strength. The wireless device may track the at least one bin of the radar image in response to the received signal strength being less than or equal to the threshold difference in signal strength from the filtered signal strength.

  • Publication number: 20220120845
Abstract: Systems and methods for predictive coordination of ego radar and interferer radar parameters are dsiclsoed. In some aspects, a processor associated with a first radar system transmitting a first radar waveform to detect a target may identify a presence of a second radar system transmitting a second radar waveform in a vicinity of the first radar system. The processor may further predict an upcoming interference by the second radar waveform of the detection of the target by the first radar system. In addition, the processor may, in response to the predicting the upcoming interference, determine an adjustment to a first parameter of the first radar waveform and/or to a second parameter of the second radar waveform.
